The cruise control feature is a game changer in the small-segment market and it will force other manufacturers to adopt it too. Excellent upgrade, KTM.
It's pointless feature these days even in cars unless it is adaptive cruise control with radar. Why? Because of the amount of traffic. You will not use it in India cities, not in most of the Europe. Maybe in USA on interstate roads or in Russia Siberia.

@@ThiloK9agreed. The standard 390 is 177kg, so there’s no way this is 150kg wet. The new DRZ comes in at 151kg wet, and it’s a dual sport with a small tank. Bigger fairing, bigger wheels, longer suspension means I think it’ll come in around 180-185 wet.
This is good news. I still feel KTM has a massive gap in their product lineup between the 390 and 790 lines. There should be some sort of 590 product line that's a smaller twin.

I'm with you here. They could route the exhaust properly since they already moved rear shock to the side. Looks completely out of place. Engine is still stressed member, so bash plate is again completely useless. It's an improvement nevertheless with ground clearance and greater suspension travel, but looks top heavy.

Mass centralisation (and low on top of that) plus a nice slim tail, with no chance to melt holes into soft luggage. Why not, as long as ground clearance is ok?

i have a neurological desease in my arms and big bikes are hard to control for me. so yeah, that might seem very specific but the 390 is the perfect dimension for some people.
Looks like just what the adventure always needed to be! As much as I'm tempted by having an Adventure that is light enough for solo adventuring, I'm waiting for the videos showing us the Enduro and Supermoto as one of these I think will be my next bike!

@@mcdonaldslover52 Engine exhaust back pressure is 4 -5 times atmospheric pressure so even in one meter of water the exhaust back pressure would easily over come the hydrostatic pressure of the water there for not allowing water to enter the exhaust pipe. Even if the engine wasn`t running the water depth would have to be above the exhaust valve outlet height to enter the cylinder ( and potentially the exhaust valve could be closed depending on the cam position )
@@CyberGasty actually it might be better than you thought...because if you did drop the bike and water gets inside, it is much easier to get rid of it after bringing the bike up, even without engine running

A twin 500 CC with 60 HP would be great and short tail without that numberplate 'bumper', + foldable mirrors out in stock and this bike would be perfect. I would even traid in my 790 adv for it.
that low muffler is just waiting to ingest water in creek crossings. He said that the Acropovic muffler was an add on so I expect a conventional muffler up the side. It appears that there is a long thin breathing pipe connecting the throttle body to the airbox up high. At least this is an existing motor so lets hope its more reliable than the 790/890 twins. If its under 160kg I will be amazed
Ummmm. Wouldn’t go that far mate. If I was going lightweight, I’d pick up the new DRZ, put a big tank on it and be done. It’ll be lighter and far more reliable. Because it’s a Suzuki;)
Great small bike for big adventures... I hope they redesigned the footpegs from previous iterations (the other 390s had those sporty/ really uncomfortable ones)

what is the reason they put the exhaust down low. If the engine killed during crossing the river will that cause the water go inside the engine? we all know all enduro bike put exhaust higher for good reason.
There are too many Scrambler and Cruiser bikes on the roads that have underbelly exhaust. They always pass the rivers with low exhaust bike. Dont worry about it. Only mud can cause a problem.
Will be a phone connect app to replace the one that KTM discontinued from the original? I was very disappointed that they no longer offered it when All the competitors now have this feature. I have a 2019 390 Adv. and used it almost every ride
