For me, this was my earliest exposure to metal. 5th grade and I’m rocking to Fear Factory, I really have late 90s, early 00s games to thank for my musical tastes.
Lol yeah.. tho the game was released in 1999 and the album was released in 2001.. this was likely an early version of memory imprints... both versions are awesome
That's debatable. What I've found to be true in life about songs is that people prefer songs (typically, but not always) the way they first hear them. I heard the album version 1st, so you can imagine which I prefer.
Just played it again after all these years with my 20 year old, still fun, even got a death from above to boot. Soundtrack is amazing. Wow. Blast from the past! Still have my PS1 memory card and all the cars etc are still saved. :)
@@hatesphere85 First I knew Destruction Derby... and had lots of fun with it. But after I knew and played Demolition Racer I never played DD again. DR is so much superior.

Now every game tries to have an oh-so-epic soundtrack with an orchestra, like halo or something. Shits so cheesy, fuck classical music. It can never compare to the excitement and rush of something heavy, with modern instruments.
Yeah I know. Its a good game with a good soundtrack, but the reason is that doom is still stuck in the 90s, including the 90s style industrial soundtrack. I'm talking about all the other games, like Destiny, Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Ass Creed 4, Bloodborne, etc.
Pow verdade cara as vezes eu jogava so pra esculta a trilha desse jogo eu e meu primo. Nao fazem mais jogos assim do ps1. Oque me deixa triste e como que um jogo como vigilante 8 ficou no esquecimento. E não deram continuação sou fã de vigilante 8.
Such amazing memories this track brings, me and my brother used to have the demo version of this game which contained only 1 unlocked car, so we would be staying in the main menu pressing every key on the keyboard so we could unlock the other cars and while we were doing so this track was being played in the background, such wonderful days
Better than the original I think. They changed the guitar part on the chorus which brings a pure alternative edge, and that rare combination of blues and melancholy.
Well I'll be damned. I completely forgot this song existed. Only reason I found it is because I download a Ps1 emulator for my phone and games I had as a child. This game, as soon as the game booted and I heard... Flash backs on another level. Powerful track then and still powerful now as an adult.
still best demolition game i know.... i have it on my phone. always.. this game is my childhoud with road rash jailbreak. only game i kept playing over and over (never finished lol i was young) but till today there is nothiong that has come close.....just like road rash jailbreak there is a game on steam. i bougght it but its is not the same.. the good old days when game where fun..
How have I never heard this version?! It has kind of a Type O Negative vibe to it, I like it! And surprisingly I never played this game back in the day despite playing the DD games, Test Drives and Carmageddon... I somehow missed this one.
Demolition Racer: No Exit Test Drive: Eve of Destruction Flatout: Ultimate Carnage Wreckfest As far as I am concerned, this is what I'd consider the *Mount Rushmore* of Demolition derby games.
since this game I know the band Fear Factory. Have seen them live a few times. Game-developers should think about it, adding music from metal-bands into the games! Like this one or Brütal Legend!
Άστα, βράστα. Δίπλο team demolition τα βράδια με το φιλαράκι από τη γειτονιά, και Fear Factory να πορώνουν τη φάση. Και μετά Last man standing, και όποιος αντέξει.
I've been searching for this version of this song for about 15 years.
I'm glad u have finally found it, dude. :)
Used to listen to this when i was 5.
I'm 23 and still awesome.
April, 2020.
Forever thankful for this game for getting me into Fear Factory.

legendary game , so great times
Luiz Fernando before gaming became more about companies extorting money through making everything "downloadable content. "
For me.. This game was better than destruction derby

Seen you around on a few song videos. Good taste in music mate
When you spent more hours in the main menu than in the game itself...
This version is absolutely phenomenal. Holy smokes.
Degni Yeah I prefer this to the version on Digimortal too
i love both but this does hit different
Was looking for this song for ages. I remember playing this game...

DOOM is what you're looking for.
DOOM is great actually. I loved that game

Man the golden age of life and games this was a fun game i used to listen to this whole song before i play lol
Lol It was mandatory that you listened to this gem before you started smashing everything up.
Game got me into Fear Factory before seriously knowing Fear Factory (I was maybe 6 or 7 when I played this).
Jogo maravilhoso, trilha sonora maravilhosa, uma pena não termos mais jogos desses hoje em dia!!!

Death from above. that was the next best thing to this song on the game.
only got one through all of my playthroughs but the rush of getting a "free" 500 points was too great and i crashed on the last lap lmao

The Killer DVL omg yeah, same here man. Missing those days
Playing this game and Carmageddon all the time when I was a child is one of the main reasons I'm a metalhead now.

Perfect for a Game Over song
This is better than Memory Imprints off Digimortal (what it evolved into)
Such nostalgia.

If you put this chorus into the CD track and added the different lyrics it would probably be the best cut of this song.
