I owned a 1986 one ( silver grey with blue graphics) . Had it fully redone though painted in piano black with blue graphics. It looked truly nice. Unfortunately, I never got to fix what seemed to be an eternal condition of being a constant oil leaking engine. Finally, that problem got over my nerves and sold it away. It was a comfy though rather slow ride. The engine sound when accelerating has an unique whizz to it. One thing I noticed in this video is that the rear mudguard is missing a plastic extension. My bike didn't have it either, but I got it from a motorbike scrapyard.
Your memory may be a bit wonky, the first time I rode a Superdream I thought it had a flat tyre. I had a couple of Superdreams and several Cb250Rs's over the years. The RS was miles better.
Beautiful example....had one since 1986, still have it and it still goes......has knobblys on front and back at mo for towing irrigation pods lol. I have thrashed that engine and it just keeps giving.....never be anything like this one!! Mine is still registered for the road too!!
I had a red one in 79 with a colour matched Invader Cockpit Fairing with matching Decals. I even had, or still have, the red and blue Honda Paddock jacket. Maybe some may have thought I looked a right pratt, but I loved riding my 250 version, which was basically the same bike, but with sleeved down cylinders, and a single disc up front.
Hi. Stunning work, looks showroom condition. My old man is restoring mine and has had the tank etc sprayed the same colour. Weve not seen it yet, he's picking them up next week.
Well done on this beautiful condition 400N Super Dream! I am picking up exactly the same bike (1980 blue 400N) from a dealer local to me this week. My bike is in very nice, all original condition, the paint is too good to warrant a respray, hopefully a deep paint treatment with a wax polish will make it gleam. The engine is clean, but will need a lot of elbow grease and time to get it anywhere near as shiny yours, but I am looking forward to trying to get it as close as I can to your stunning bike! Thank you for the inspiration! Cheers 🍻
Owned one of these for almost two years. My mate had the 250 version and trying that out revealed just how bad it was against the power of the 400N. It sucked so much that my mate after a run on my 400N begged me to sell it to him.. which eventually I gave in and did.👀 I learned a real lesson from that experience. Even today the 125cc machines remind me of that 250N.. worse still is just how much money they cost.. I mean a 125cc today that is.. at least he could get over 65mph from his at a push.. the 400N could deliver a steady 70 to 80mph no problem..👍 The early 400N suffered from oil deprivation so they added in a pipe from the sump to recirculate it to the upper systems.. SO something to be wary of when purchasing a second hand vintage motorcycle of that era.. 80s et Overall maintenance was fairly easy. Chain and sprocket changes easy including chain adjustments et. 👍Fuel economy was more than acceptable. You did have to remember to change over from the normal to reserve IF and when needed. For its time a great machine. Yes I carried a pillion for many years that I owned the 400N. 😉
I had a 250 superdream back in 88 always wondered if the 400 fits straight in the 250 frame? They sort of emulate the cb900f in shape though obviously a twin .
I bought a 250 of this exact bike (black) it had been chopped n changed a fair bit 2/1 Leo Vance exhaust system, and some other stuff changed, foot pegs & levers, I thought this goes pretty quickly for a CB250 then one day I noticed cast into the fins 400CCM. . It had an engine swap but never changed on the book, it ran great, gears and clutch like a Swiss clock, great MPG, couldn't fault it, then it got stolen and wrecked, what a waste...
I assume you meant 1981 not 91 this was the NB400NA In April 1982 I bought the same bike but was the NB and had gold colour wheels. I sold it in 1998 and at age 40 years actually it was seen out and about on the road last weekend

Very sharp; I had a silver one back in 79 and it went like...a Dream! 👍
I remember being given a ride on the back of a 250 Superdream in 1978 and being amazed at the acceleration.

Just wondered with such a low mileage, why did it need a paint job? Was it left
outside, or stored away for years in a Barn or a Shed?
Nice little bike. Had one from new for 2 years before I moved on to a Yamaha xj650.
Had 1 in the early 80s lovely bike. So different from the 250.
Stunning I had a 250N DGY871T would love to have back now .
Had one in black with red/orange pin striping 1981 model from new. Great bike.

I rode one for a while. My mates were always surprised at its performance.

my 250 Deluxe variant was the 2nd best bike i've ever owned. the 1st being my current CBX. 😎
Bone stock, just the way we like them! Great work. Thanks for sharing
Not bone stock but nice
I like this video😊👍Nice Honda Cb 400
Stunning bike 🏍️
I had the same model and same colour but I bought it second hand in 1985 when i was a student. That blue is my favourite colour.
Hi there. Yes, without doubt the blue is the nicest colour choice. Its since been sold on but it was a lovely bike to ride when it was with me.
@@tallscreen59 Looks like the original 1978 tank decals too. Much nicer than those on later models.
Loved mine aged 19 after crashing a Suzuki X7 it seemed so civilised
what a bike should look like & be nice!
Stunning
Thank you! 😊
Amazing 👍

What will you do for your upcoming 100 subscriber special? All your videos are fantastic! Almost as good as mine... 😂😏
Beautiful nick!
How much for cash?
It doesn't look like a 1981 model.
I thought they changed the graphics and the wheels by 81.
That looks like an original 78/79 model.
Hi! Did You think that is possible to rebulild 250 engine to 400cc? Thx
quicker & cheaper to swap a 400 motor straight in.
Hi do you still ha e this bike
It was recently sold to Thunder road motorcycles in Bridgend, south Wales.
Noice
