- Breakfast left me deflated - does size really matter? The sausage was half the size....... but, tasted amazing. Would you be deflated if you were served a very small sausage? It left me deflated.... but not for very long. The breakfast was super tasty and the service was super friendly. #deflated #lessismore #breakfast

Best brekky I ever had was at a cafe in Liverpool called the shamrock it was massive and free refills on the coffee with the mega breakfast which was only £9
How do you keep finding these places lol you have a real talent for finding places that either have bad service tiny portions or over priced
Quality over quantity, every time for me. That looked really nice... and you were treated with respect, unlike the last couple of places, where to be honest you were treated with an attitude bordering on contempt.

It's a fry up. Warmed up canned baked beans in a jar and a fried sausage. £2 for a cup of tea? It's not rocket science and very little quality. The entire purpose of old fashioned fry up joints was to provide good value for those on a tight budget. I've been to those places and had good service. This place had a service charge for service. A service charge for a fry up we can easily make at home.
It looked a weener, I get tolouse sausages from my local butchers and wow they're literally off the charts,

I came back from london yesterday we stayed at
Primier inn Heathrow airport ternamal 4 and had the most lovest food iv ever had breakfast and dinner was out of this world x
Perfect portion size. Eating is not about how much you can fit in your stomach. Nice review 👍.

The sausage size was very mean-spirited. You ate it in two mouthfuls. Providing a sausage of a decent size would cost little more to the owner. The OJ and eggs looked very good.
needs a second sausage DJ and why serve beans in an old pickled onion jar ? Oh and Cumberland sausage is coiled and not looking like a dog jobby on your plate

I love chilled OJ, and I have it every day with my breakfast! ... I thought you were on a health kick, Darren? That didn't last long? 🤣 ... Joking aside, there's nothing wrong with enjoying your food, but remember to look after your health too. It's all about moderation and balance.

Well DJ it's a classic case of less is more if it's quality and it looks nice to me and a good service as well that goes a long way 😊
IMO - with the tea and juice, what you had constituted as enough for a healthy breakfast. No complaints from me. Cheers

The sausage looks poor quality. Don't agree with a service charge for a breakfast.
Please, I do not want to come across as a nuisance or mourning person but I would suggest that at the end of your video, gave the total cost of the meal just to have a perspective. That is, for example here, you could have just said: “ main dish v£; juice w£; tea x£; service y£ and total z£”. So, just a suggestion. Thanks for all your reviews.
Why don’t you just ask to keep the menu? Just a thought......

Where art thou sausage? I think the Two Magpies robbed you of it. . The cafe looked nice however and certainly the tea and presentation of the breakfast looked good. Glad you had good hospitality which has been lacking of late and glad you enjoyed it.

You had the intelligence not to strongly suggest that anybody should actually get themselves down there to partake of this breakfast. I'm left wondering about what reaction you would have got if you had asked for another two sausages - guess we'll never know!
Could we see menus in these places please? Ok so imho very average…. Happy you had good service but the food !?? Tea & OJ good … Beans looked watery & anaemic & served in a silly pretentious ‘jar’ Pea shoots on a fry-up ? What are you? A rabbit! Again just pretentious Watery eggs …. What they can’t drain on kitchen paper for 5 secs? Toast spread all over the plate & a tragic looking sausage … sorry but you were far too forgiving You deserved a proper sausage!!! The girl behind the counter looked positively hostile!! Considering the 100’s of excellent cafes around why bother to try here? A big NO for me. Get yourself down to the LA Cafe in Sutton for proper food Appreciate your time doing these reviews TC

Nice presentation but not enough food. Should have been at least 2 sausages if not 3 as they were so small. The whole breakfast would have looked better served on a saucer. Not for me I’m afraid 👍 But as you said that’s what you ordered so that’s what you got

tbf the cook should of put the food on a smaller plate, as we could see it did look pitiful. However, once again I do not know why anyone would agree to pay service charge ! the staff are already getting paid so the charge goes straight to the owner, its a scam and most people say nowadays oh we got really good service, you are supposed to !! Its not America !! Also you did get what u asked for. Me personally, i thought it was too expensive, eggs, toast, beans, and a tiny sausage, even the tea was expensive.

Touch of "The Emperors new clothes" I think even if it tasted ok. I grew up with Cumberland sausage being in a curly ring. That one was weird.
I think it s about quality not quantity. If you came away happy with a nice taste left and on a bit of a high because staff were friendly and polite then that is a winner in my book.

There did not seem much on the plate at first sight, but, what was there looked quality. Not sure about the pea shoots, but the rest looked great. Topped with great service, it's a winner for me.

Its great to see the staff were very polite. Did not like seeing the beans in a jam jar, the plate was just full of toast and the water from the poached eggs , the sausage toddlers size. No I have to disagree with you on this video.

Frankly, I'd rather go to a spoons and that is the breakfast of last resort.
To be fair spoons does a lovely Eggs Benedict, however my tastebuds have not been the same for a while, yeah the "classy" beans in a pot carry on, I rather not have beans, I will have a big jar of plum tomatoes instead! 🤣
