That's great that you can tell the difference right away! I stacked them up next to each other again to see if I was really blind or what.... :D And I guess I am! It depends on how the light shines on them, for a while I think it's Preciosa, then again it's Swarovski because I turn it around a bit and one is shinier than the other. Well, I'm having a hard time telling and you're good at it! Great! ❤❤❤

It's really not that hard... Look over your video, you'll see what I mean... Don't get wrong, I enjoy working with preciosa crystals as well, but I really do love the Swarovski... I live in Puerto Rico and when I'm in the sun, and that Swarovski starts shining when the sun hits it just right 🥰. Yes... Yes... Yes... 🥰 It's like having diamonds of all colors... Be safe, strong and Blessed... Happy beading.....

Yes, I could tell which was Swarovski. They have been my go-to crystals forever. They definitely have more sparkle, but yes, the Preciosa is a good alternative, and most people won't notice any difference, especially if they aren't side by side.

The Swarovski has a crispness that makes it sparkle more but the Preciosa is a decent replacement and I will be buying it. Swarovski seems to be creating an appearance of exclusivity as many luxury brands are doing in fashion. Making it less available to crafters so there’s less competition

as an individual who exclusively deals with flatback rhinestones for nail art, my knowledge outside of this subsection of rhinestones is limited at best.
anyway, preciosa’s glass formula is actually really beautiful it’s potentially even better than swarovskis. the problem with preciosa is the cut of their crystals. that’s where swarovski goes above and beyond and granted, it is the most expensive part of rhinestone production- the intricacy of the final cut of the glass requires very skilled artisans which raises labor costs dramatically so. but. it’s also the only thing keeping me from making a 100% switch to preciosa.
I WOULD LOVE TO SWITCH. i’m so pissed at swarovskis absolutely disgusting move made by the new CEO epitomizing disloyalty and i hate giving money to them. but the crystal brands i have found that have identical cuts and even identical sparkles to swarovski - only two actually Dreamtime Creations crystals [DTCC] (they’re a retailer but have their own brand as well and they’re identical swarovski dupes) and i forget the name of the other one honestly…. anyway the only thing they lack is selection. size selection for DTCC was more limited than their color options. which is understandable they don’t have the liquidity for production materials anywhere near the level of swarovski. BUT PRECIOSA HAS THE MEANS TO REPLACE SWAROVSKI!!! i just wish they would do so wirh either a better product or sn identical product. because a subpar product isn’t gonna generate the switch of a consistent swarovski customer to a consistent preciosa customer. i bought a huge order of preciosa from bluestreak expecting id be able to full switch over. and that order ended up just being money i lost. because i only use them for practice :/.
anyway thx for comparison. fuck swarovski and hopefully someone takes their place soon. i’m rooting for the day i can stop giving them my money completely lol

all comments are so accurate, I would like to add that it seems coating, being transparent or some special color or shine, it seems swarovski prevents skin grease to adhere or something, believe the main reason preciosa looks less sparkly, if you noticed, is that the crystal is partially opaque by fingerprints. Which I would assume all crystals were subjected to same handle which would made both marked by fingerprints, which is not, swarovski surface remain clearer, that let facets come through

I started out on Swarovski crystals brcause I was completely spellbound by their beauty especially at Christmas time when my favorite department store would get in their XMAS ornaments. Aside from being more clear, sparkly, flooded with color the back of the crystals have a unique finish; they are like a flawless diamond. Then there is the wonderful designer Hedi Doss's awesome Swarovsik crystal jewelry collection which is to die for. Swarovski's glass pearls are simply gorgeous. The Preciosa are a nice replacement, but can't replace Swaroski's beauty. ~ I guess we don't have much a choice.😥 Yankee Gal ... PS thank you for sharing your beautiful gift with us 💖

I am doing my own fashion jewelry business since many years and I tried a lot of different pearls, rhinestones etc.
Yes, Swarovski is by far the most sparkly, shiny producer.
To spend more money for their items is okay and worth it.
I made different experiences with Preciosa or no name products.
For example I bought some teardrops in Aurora AB colour.
The backside of this drops has a special layer and Preciosa and the no name drops lost that layer after a short time and they lost the most of their sparkle...
    Swarovski held it until today...
A big thing are the Swarovski pearls.
If you have other products and hold them side by side you know which one are the Swarovski.
They are not cheap but if you want jewelry with high quality it is a must to use Swarovski 😊

Yes on the RIGHT of screen is SWAROVSKI! The brilliance , the cut, and maybe something not considered by some. This would be the BACKING. Better quality and more evenly applied. I have been working with and collecting Swarovski authentic jewelry for about 50 years. I stumbled across it accidentally when I saw a brooch in the shape of a heart. And each time I go back to this boutique every time I chose some thing it was so risky and I learned of their quality must be that my I just can pick it out!
Nevertheless Presioca is a wonderful substitute but of course I’m a fan of Sorosky and said that they don’t sell it readily but yes you can get it online but some are really charging too much especially if you’re a crafter like me it means we have to raise our prices to.
