- An RMC is COMING TO ALTON TOWERS??? I highly doubt it. But either way a HUGE rumour has been going round the community the past couple days, all about what Creative Lead, John Burton, said in a Q&A video regarding an RMC being 'on the horizon'. Because Project Horizon exists, Alton Towers' NEW rollercoaster coming in 2025, everyone took to social media to say it would be an RMC... i think it's a huge troll.

Another point that supports Project Horizen being an RMC is that RMC are set to announce something tommorow (The 18th), and they have been teasing another smaller ride with a drive tyre lift.

I've said Intamin Multi-Dimension Coaster for Horizon since Day 1! Remember, Burton did say "coming to ANY of our parks" and an RMC fits at all 3 major Merlin parks! Hybrid for Thorpe, Single-Rail for Towers, and Family coaster for Chessington! Cool video!
TH13TEEN is an Intamin Multidimensional coaster though, so why would they put the same model in alton towers again?

Judging by the new RMC family model that coaster studios have had a video on this week I'm gonna call it and say it's gonna be one of those. It's not gonna be a steel vengeance with Alton's planning issues is it? Was hoping the first RMC would be at Thorpe or oakwood

This is perfect. Heavily tease an RMC for thorpe so that absolutly no-one would think or expect one to go to towers. Then suprise us with a more "official" teaser for one coming to Alton towers. also I think it will be something bigger than a family hybrid for The UK's first RMC. And I know he said "ANY of our parks" but the fact he said "On the HORIZON" Hints towards Project Horizon.

Came back from thorpe today and u get a really really good view of the exodus supports from the swarm break run several more gold supports have since arrived too
The problem with the announcement is that everyone will be so disappointed if it’s not an rmc
So me and my dad made a theory, maybe they filmed the project horizon outside of oblivion on purpose. Cause there was multiple hints at it, maybe they're digging underground. That could fit quite a big coaster
They're obviously building the Jersey Devil DarKoaster. The world's first ever indoor single-rail strata-straddle coaster! It climbs over 400 feet fully encased in a show building with trees painted on it so the town doesn't immediately mow it down. World's tallest and fastest indoor coaster. World's most immersive strata coaster. Manufactured by Rocky Mountain Cons, this attraction will be a cross between a coaster enthusiast's wet dream and a dark ride enthusiast's wet dream. This addition will obviously bring park guests back to Alton Towers for many years to come, and is not an attempt by Merlin to decrease the land value of the park to sell it to another buyer.

What would the record be my guess: the most inversions on a single rail they are compact feature smaller but still intense and snappy layouts this means it is more likely to be a short fake rail…

i think that the reason fire in the hole will cost 30 000 000 is because silver dollar city is one of the few American parks that has an enthesis on theming. the reason I think this is because RMC coasters are usually very cheap
I agree, I can see them spending well over a half of that of theming. It’s a common practice for big US parks to do that

There was definitely the call of a bird audible in the Project Exodus teaser video, which leans towards the theory that it will indeed be named *Horus.* Horus is an Egyptian god with the head of a falcon after all.
My take on this is that I fully believe that was a real, genuine confirmation.
In the full video, John talks about the type of person that he is, a Roller Coaster Tycoon player, a theme park fan, and he's essentially an enthusiast, right.
I can't believe he would do this tease if it wasn't genuine. That's playing a trick with your most passionate fans/target audience and your hero customers - your customers who will shout the most loudly about your service, and it's so important to utilise that relationship well.
If it was just a joke, then it'll certainly be disappointing. So yeah, I just find it hard to believe it wasn't genuine.
With that in mind, given the suspicion that this will be more of a thrilling ride than a family ride, I wonder if this could be a T-Rex. A larger capacity ride with tight enough elements that you can achieve an interesting layout in a confined space.

I have only been on smiler and wickerman in Alton towers (it was extremely busy and I only had 5 hours in the park)and those two ore the best roller coasters I have ridden and I can't wait it finally ride a RMC

I think with the sun flare in the video from Thorpe park and the white and gold colours, I recon it will definitely be called Icarus due the Greek Mythological colours and the sun flare hinting at the sun that melted his wings hence the Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge drop! BOOM theming!

I think rather than re-tracking oblivion on its 30 Yr anniversary in 2028 I think it will get ripped out with an RMC first drop utilising oblivion's pit.
I think they could do bigger and better tbh there’s ones now similar that are higher drops and have more to them
@@IzzyandShadow Alton has a treeline height restriction, however a B&M extension to Oblivion could work but I think RMC Oblivion is the way to go!

@@LLLLLLLLLucas they won’t RMC oblivion because RMCs are very space inefficient and wouldn’t work in the space oblivion is located. Also oblivion is so iconic they would just make it into a modern dive coaster
Hey, none of us know, but I can't see it being an RMC. Intamin was my guess too, something like Gringotts would be one hell of an addition. But could AT pull off the theming, and what would that be based on? Any kind of mine theming could work or maybe a theme from a horror maze? Skin Snatchers? Who knows but without a Secret Weapon code doesn't that point to something smaller or family orientated considering where it is?
I'm going with Oblivion, as it dropped behind him as he looked at the camera!

you should go to florida, ride velocicoaster, maybe tron if you can, mako and pipeline and finally the drop tower in busch gardens i got off traumatised
FYI Merlin entertainment, AT getting an RMC would be enough to make me (and many others) buy annual passes and unlimited fast passes. I'm sure you want our money right?

RMC has released a Wild Mouse family coaster model with twisty turns and is very compact and could easily fit into the Project Horizon building
Moose coaster is 47ft (14m) tall and Horizon building is 19m tall so it would fit ..
This would probably mean the end of Spinball
Well el Tori Ryan teases shows that rmc “family” models are finally coming with the same ejector and awesome design language from Alan shilke, just with drive tyre lifts, and shorter statue that most rmcs

A RMC single rail would make much more sense than a hybrid considering spacing issues. Maybe it could be the first RMC T-Rex coaster with a launch?

T rexes are designed to be Gigas or stratas so deffo not suitable for project horizon
Oblivion has already established that AT can fit a 180ft drop in, I want to see a Steel Vengeance level RMC, you need to go the full hog, if you half arse it you aren't going to get the most lucrative market: American tourists. They are the ones who will come and stay in your on site hotels and pay for fast passes etc.
As Oblivion is near end of life and he filmed that in front of oblivion, there is a chance we'll get an RMC hybrid in oblivion's place, utilising the existing massive hole. Maybe John Wardley would finally get that chance to design a proper woodie with them

Fire In The Hole is a rebuild from the ground up new for the park Silver Dollar City's much loved and fan favorite ride Fire In The Hole which dates back to 1972. The cost of the project includes the scenery elements for the ride more so than the RMC coaster which will be the ride track and car system....and maybe even the building and the park land expansion in that area. It is going to be epic and we are ready for it. The ride story would not be anything for the Alton Towers audience since it is based on Ozark Mountain regional history from the mid 1800s.
Start thinking about what story Alton Towers would be looking to tell in ride form.
Compare the dimensions of the moose coaster with the size of the building for horizon... take into account indoor queue/preshow... 😮
Hopefully with a space (son of Black Hole) theme to pair up with "project horizon" being the original name for the Apollo moon landing programme

In order to be able to show a company logo for legal reasons they would need to consult RMC, that wasnt a tease or a throw off, an RMC is coming to towers and I couldn,t be more excited

As much as I said before about it being an family RMC, I now don't think its going to be, unless its deliberately to cause a divide in opinions and thoughts in community? For fun and to build up excitement for it? I'm not sure? But I am starting to suspect its not an RMC anymore, but I think it maybe UK's first ever Vekoma Flying Coaster like Fly? Built inside a big building? Could be wrong and its maybe something else like not a coaster, but a massive indoor dark ride come log flume? Replacing The Flume, with a new unique layout and new theme? I am not too sure myself, but whatever it will be, be amazing. Just think its too obvious the video suggestions RMC, but thats me. But cheers for video, really enjoyed, have Liked & Shared and look forward to more videos in future. 😀👍
They already have a B&M flyer, although it's hardly the most thrilling ride these days. They might also have looked at Pleasure Beach's endless saga with Valhalla and decided to avoid anything similar.

Rmc did make a new model of their family coaster. They call it the wild moose model and are claiming it can fit anywhere. So maybe they designed it for horizon.

Yeah black hole but it’s rmc makes sense to me. Save the cash on themeing and just have a tonne of twinkling led’s and a soundtrack in a big tin shed. In the pitch dark. Captivating in that it’s pretty, and revolutionary in that it’s first rmc in the dark and uk’s first rmc. Or it’s a big teasy joke
