Talk about a boring match, they both should've got a loss. There was no winner here

BJJ: just lying on the floor and wait till cows come home. Such a bullshit

Grappling is sorta like golf. You only really like it if you can relate. Thats why its so boring if you can't.

I relate and matches like this are boring. There's too many people doing apologetics for the state of the sport. It's in rough shape despite it's growing size. There's a tiny number of exciting grapplers and the rest will put you to sleep

@@rhmotesPart of the issue with grappling as a spectator sport. Like golf. What makes most grappling fights boring is its most often a battle of attrition. Slow grinding stamina and playing positions. Whereas stand up fights are much more about footwork, technique, and many more strikes of opportunity.

@@mathurex211 and I would agree with you if there weren't a number of standout athletes that are exciting. No matter what. The problem is that there's not enough of them. What we need in the sport is a culture shift. Too many people are content to stall or win on points when they should be hunting submissions and taking risks.

@@rhmotes Its funny you say that. Its largely why we've seen such a surge in the use of heel hooks in jiu jitsu. Its also what makes gi jiu jitsu more interesting at the higher levels, more opportunities means more submissions. The reality is, especially in a ruleset where the jiu jitsu guy can just pull guard, the fight is going to stall out and be a battle of attrition. It is much more beneficial for the jiu jitsu guy in the less dominant position to play a stamina game, while the guy on top does the same as to not be swept and have their back taken. And its unfortunate, because bjj guys themselves are incentivised to this behavior by their own rulesets. Pulling guard is such a dumb concept, but its the most common thing in jiu jitsu. More than literally anything because it has no penalty, and takedowns provide very little point advantage.

@@mathurex211 except the match we're commenting under was boring largely due to the caginess of the top player. Guys like Gordon Ryan, Nicky Ryan, Eoghan O'Flannigan, Nicholas Meregali, Cole Abate, Mikey Musumeci, Diego Oliveira, Mica Galvao and some others do a ton of work from guard positions, even when their opponent is being cagey. It's trendy to hate on guard pulling, but I don't agree. I even saw that clip of Aljamain sterling hating on someone for guard pulling after a match where he refused to engage with the guard puller. In my opinion, that showed poor character on Al jamain's part because he clearly lacked the confidence to engage with his guard, and blamed his opponent. A lot of people want BJJ to be as much like wrestling or MMA as possible, and it's just not the same sport, and has every right to be its own sport. The issue is not any one position. The issue is a culture that seems to be okay with mediocrity and winning by decision or on points. If someone goes out there and pulls guard and then hits wrestle ups the way Nicky Ryan did against Dante Leon, there's no issue. If someone pulls guard, and doesn't get anything done against a standing opponent because that opponent is so cagey, then that's primarily the standing opponent's fault.

What's up with Cupping marks on Rahmani... weight loss ?

It’s cupping, it’s exist in modern rehab, middle east medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. It can be used both for recovery and treatment. Because while training some injuries could lead to many problems latter, so I think he used cupping for maintaining his body in good condition.

At least stop the fighter to assume fight on the floor. I'll rather see throughs than people sitting on the floor waiting to be engaged.
