i’ve found that organizing my clothes solely based on color instead of worrying about the clothing type has helped my closet to look much more organized, but also i think just having a lot of every color helps (which is kinda bothersome lol) as well as having matching hangers for everything! maybe you could even use different hangers for different clothing types? i think that might look really cool and different! 💕💕💕
I'm of the opinion that as long as you can get ready in a way that doesn't stress you out, then it shouldn't matter what it looks like. Of course, if aesthetics is important to one's wellbeing then so be it. At the end of the day, it's only relatives that see inside one's closet anyway.
I have ADHD so when I organize my hanging clothes I color code the hangers based off of what type of clothing they are like all my t shirts are on black hangers all my long sleeves are on green hangers etc etc so it really helps me see what I have and know where things are

I am a bit on the younger side so I haven't gotten much clothes and I don't really wear makeup unless for special occasions and have a small closet. But I organized my closet a few months ago. My clothes are folded so. I organized my clothes by type such as pants, shirts, long sleeve shirts, socks, etc. I hung up my nice dresses jackets. I have one of my drawers for memorable clothing that I am attached to but don't/can't wear since I am a sentimental person lol. I just took out all my clothes and separated one for donation/selling and one for keep and one for memorable clothes. Then I just kept organizing the clothes I wanted to keep into smaller and smaller groups of clothes until it was managable enough for me to fold.
