Compilation of footage from workshop by Valentin Vasiliev in Systema Russian martial art. Shows different types of teaching and demonstrations www.systemauk.com
@abaskcasckbackj well, systema is more like principles and it has no set techniques, just drills that teach you to "think" with your body, to move in new and unusual way and react to situation kind of instinctively, breathing exercises, psychology of combat etc. combat sambo has techniques like punches, kicks, throws, grapling, traping and so on. that's way the russian army combines both, it's good to combine systema with another martial art.
it's called Systema .. it's listed as a tag on the video.. enjoy!
very cool, reminds me a little of a martial art such as Akido where instead of using force you pretty much get it to flow off of you, very cool though
Rob, upload some of the early days workshops vlad etc Cambridge 2003/2004? :-)
