as someone that has watched these things since the early 90s. you can't get mad about ANY of these restrictor plate races. its a literal slot machine if you even finish, let alone win. don't even bother worrying about these races and focus on the circuits and ovals. you got this and will do well this year!
Theirs no real strategy for Daytona its always a gamble .its not if its when the wreck happens and you have to be lucky enough not to be in it.
Yep. Only certain people have an advantage due to their skill as long as they can avoid the wrecks. Austin Hill is a good example of that.
they haven't ran restrictor plates since 2019..

or be smart enough to position yourself hopefully to where you are not in the middle of it. Restrictor plate racing is just part of it like road courses and short track. Ya gotta be flexible and knowledgeable and experienced enough to be contender or stay out of it completely. If ya can't hand the heat stay out of the kitchen. Hailie, it is Daytona, and regardless of what people say, it happens in these races. Plenty of great drivers crashed throughout the weekend. I have zero doubts that you will do better in Xfinity once you settle in. The real fans have faith in you girl. Just try to focus on finishing races, and you will do awesome. Forget the haters!

Gotta qualify up front and ride up front, can't keep playing follow the leader in the back, LETS GOOOO !!!!
Ride up front so you can get spun out from behind on lap 11 lol.
Lots of great drivers hung out in the back as a strategy . Then at a certain point worked their way forward....
Even being up front doesn't save you.. look at every cup race in the last 5 years. Not even first place is safe. It's a litteral crap shoot. Daytona is always a sh.tfest..
You can still crash no matter whether you qualify upfront or not.
She was just in the wrong place wrong time.

Daytona is a tough track even for some of the greatest in the business- it took Dale Earnhardt almost his entire career to win the 500 and you’re just starting out in the Xfinity series - you’re awesome , you got this and the 🏁🏁 will come #badasshailied

Remember how getting rid of stage breaks didn't work at road courses,got very boring,well i think Daytona/Talladega/Atlanta, don't need stage breaks, the racing is already exciting & don't need to bunch them back up & then wont be this fuel saving stuff, still can have stage win

Honest opinion, go hard Hailie. Better to charges than hanging back. You’re going to learn more as well. Anyway, really enjoy watching your racing
Each track is different.
Each race is different.
Each lap is different.
Each corner is different.
I do not particularly like drivers like Kyle Busch BUT I think that is the way he raced.
Overall goal is to be the first across the finish line.
But generally his strategy was to be in the right place at the right time, make those decisions "on the fly" to reach the primary goal.
Don't get "locked in" to any particular strategy but rather be flexible.
Try it.
The “who’s the guy in that outfit” to McGruff the Crimedog, made me feel about 147 years old. So thanks for that… 😂

Daytona is such a hardcore racetrack to race at, it doesn't matter if it's the season opener, or the summer race halfway in the season. Hang in there and get those new team bugs worked out, Hailie. We are all pulling for you, girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First race in the Xfinity series and Daytona and the vodka liver looks nice back to learning all in the ford dark hose Mustang, the waiting game due to the weather a long wait to finally race!! Hailie sounds like she got butterflies and nervous a new learning curve in a different series than truck good to see that your spotter giving u help which is always good u explained it all there was nowhere for u to go that's Daytona super speedway racing there's a lot more racing and improving and the season goes along keep your head up high keep smiling😁😀 it will get better we all fans are here to support u!! Hailie, the only guarantee about Daytona is that no matter your strategy, it's wrong. You could have won this race, and next Daytona race, the winning strategy will fail in spectacular fashion.

Everyone had a bad night. It was a long weekend and a late race. All the drivers and teams were understandably tired and weren’t 100% on their game. That’s why it looked like a Truck race instead of an Xfinity race. Good luck to you and the team in Atlanta!✌️🤓🇺🇸

I think you are well able to excel in Xfinity racing having survived the total wreckfest that is the "Truck Series". Daytona and most other SuperSpeedway restrictor place races are a crap shoot. Drivers that never win, pull out a horse shoe at the last lap wreck in each race. You go girl!
