Remember, the kit I bought didn't come with a float. So, if you have time, I would suggest disassembling the carb before buying a rebuild kit that way you will know if you need anything else.

Call me crazy but I love rebuilding carbs, its relaxing
Haha. Yeah, wasn’t bad. I was a little over it near the end. But that was with me polishing as well.
Hey Mate, I have fuel dripping out of both sides of the spindle just above where it bolts on the manifold. Can this only be the needle and seat causing this? Thanks
Man. Well that really sucks. I think there are a few possibilities.
Are you running the stock fuel pump? Have you recently replaced or cleaned it? Running the wrong size rod can cause the fuel to have to much pressure going to the carb. If you’re running an electric fuel pump, you should have around 3-3.5 psi. Too much fuel pressure could be the issue.
Does the spindle seem loose? Maybe it needs to be tightened if so. Can’t go too tight or it won’t rotate though.
If none of that works, I would make sure that all the jets are clean and secured. Have good crush washers if they are supposed to have them.
If that doesn’t work, you might have a cracked housing. Could be leaking from the fuel bowl (where the float is).
Let me know what you find out!
Nice job building it! How did u able to polish it? What tool did u use?
Dremel with polishing/buffing attachments, and metal polish. Time consuming, but looks great!
