I mean, she kind of can't do the songs the same way. She's always said that she's no good at a normal rock/ metal voice &, after over 25 years, anybody who knows her is expecting her classical sound, anyway. But, she definitely has a good ear for getting the songs to work in her favor.
Tarja will always be Tarja. I try to never miss out whenever she's playing in my area. She's just one of a kind. I love her voice and her stage presence. Heck, even I took classical singing lessons during all my middle and high school years because I was so blown away by her in her late Nightwish era (I started with singing lessons in elementary school but was more into pop/rock vocals in the beginning).
One of the best and most acclaimed rock oriented sopranos of all time and she can’t get to the quality of Chester’s voice… he was really one in a thousand years 💔

It's been great to have many releases lately from Tarja, her Best Of album last December (2022), Outlanders very soon June 26th (2023) and now this album too and hopefully the "dark christmas part II" album later this year. As a Tarja fan I'm very happy. Would love to have this released as a live dvd/blu-ray too.

Different but awesome cover. Tarja never disappoints I had the pleasure of discovering her after her Nightwish days (I discovered them around the Showtime, Storytime live album). Don’t get me wrong her contributions to Nightwish are epic. I think her solo work is also fantastic

Tarja, who is the best female singer for me, from one of my favourite bands Nightwish, singing a great song by Linkin Park in an actual church, and they called it Metal Church, just like the name of that good band called by the same name.
