I went to Hebrew Academy on Miami Beach in the early 70's and I recall Reb Shlomo visited and performed a couple of songs. The entire school was so excited! Great memories.
Here in 1964, Reb Shlomo was invited by Jacque Bronstein to perform in Paris at the annual benefit concert organized to fund the Toit Familial programming. Reb Shlomo tells the story of how “this concert raised $100,000 to support the kosher kitchen that offered daily meals for students who had come from Algeria and Morocco who mamash had nothing to eat.”
Guys, we beg you, please please please add more stuff of Rabbi Carlebach. we've been looking for this kind of things all of our life.
