I live in Alabama in the mountains with lots of waterfalls all around. Your home life is very similar to ours down here. I lived in San Diego for a while and my husband and I now live back in my hometown in North Alabama! Wouldnt have it any other way. I loved and enjoyed this videos! Definitely a raw look into how you grew up and how much you appreciate that! I grew up very similarly; backpacking and camping was the majority of my childhood, middle school, even a little high school years. Playing kickball in the street with my dad and the neighbor’s kids, playing board games, swimming in the neighbors’ pool, always finding a project and getting our hands dirty was a regular occurrence. As I get older, there’s more appreciation about those activities before social media was a thing. I’m 30 now, and very grateful how I grew up too. Thank you for sharing this!!
I enjoyed watching this video, I also grew up in Florida but much much different. Mostly lived in an apartment for most of my childhood and more in the city so not too much wilderness to explore. It just motivates me to be able to provide this kind of childhood to my son!

Loved this video !! I had a similar childhood, our parents moved us to the country side when I was 5 and I will always be grateful for that. Nothing can compare to meeting up with your friends and riding your bikes on dirt roads, building tree houses in the backyard, making mud pies or go tresor hunting on abandonned properties 😄
