If it’s spray camo based on the environment you’re fighting in, it should be fine. I understand it being on snipers or DMRs but if it’s on other infantry weapons that are not a part of a SF group, i don’t think it would be good. If you’re on the frontline, a camo weapon will not benefit you in any way compared to if you’re sniping from a distance where your rifle being a solid color could allow you to be spotted though it is unlikely. As long as it is implemented realistically, it’s should be a good addition.
Line infantry is allowed to spray paint their weapons in a lot of first world armies, just within certain specs. You see Ukrainian/Russian footage all the time where guys have spray painted guns.
Buying skins is like dropping some change into the basket of a busker. If a dev keeps updating a game I bought years ago for $20 and I've put hundreds of hours into, I'm happy to drop $5-10 periodically on some skins even if I don't use them. Anyone who demands a continuous service of updates for a game you pay one time for is just entitled. Times have changed and no one is making you buy the skins.
in the Australian army painting the EF 88 ( the primary service weapon for the conventional army EG infantry, armored ect) is allowed but is under each units discretion. normally the support companies of an infantry battalion (snipers, recon, signals, anti armor/ DFSW ) will paint there weapons in a cammo pattern as well as magazines due to there more specialized roles but generally a rifle company wont paint there weapons
Skins is kind of a thing in modern warfare, ive seen countless painted weapons in ukrainian and russian hands tought its usually just some kind of camouflaged paint tough i have seen pink anime weapons in combat footage
I would give the ability to kinda be able to customize your gear forgive me but I would specifically like a helmet graffiti mechanic especially because it wasn't just a Vietnam war thing it was used during the 1st and second gulf war it was used in aphgsnistan it would be something that would be really cool and realistic
I am really upset with insurgency sandstorm direction. They kept adding game modes without directional voip and pretending it's a competitie game. Ontop of that the $4.99 ghillise suit and more and more rediculous weapon camos. I completely understand why their studio was shut down.
instead of 5$ for a specific pack, i think they should make a rattle can shop which lets say is 15$ and then you get access to all the colors that make sense like green, tan, grey, basic rifle camo colors. Then all guns will get specific spray areas that lets you color you to spray your gun however within reason
The game needs continual revenue to continue development. I do not like it too, but they keep it realistic to the universe. Isonzo did it realy well and kept it historical.
Chinese faction is garbage both in gameplay strength and model quality. Even tencent is baffled by how bad owi made PLAMC. Actually squad model quality is atrocious, it's hilarious that they had the galls to sell weapon skins when their models are so bad.

This is what happens when Tencent touches a game

its only a matter of time now..

I just wish I could unlock crap by playing the game. I miss progression systems.

but I bet it doesn't shoot near 830rpm
"squad" and "individualism" are not two words that should ever be in the same sentence unless "is not about" is in-between them.

First they came with emotes, and I said nothing.
Next they came with gun skins…
here in finland although we are just conscripts many guys had camo tape etc on their guns.

to follow up i think they should add a uniform customizer with your parch idea
Glad that there's at least some people that's against adding skins for games, because they can take games worth of space
Your pc build?
Ryzen 7 5700x
32GB DDR5
RTX 4070ti
B450 Aorus pro mother board (next to be upgraded)
and the game runs on NVME 2 SSD
Ye but if we want free updates they need to keep earning from this, no?
"this game is already dead, people just don't know about it"

hope that's what they do going forward
It's over
😂 over dramatic much!

The Combat update killed the game for me.
