Jami, that hotel situation made me upset as well! We don't know the full story, but after a family member says they are afraid to be alone........ smh. I question it all now.
So I’m from the DMV and used to work for Mr. Braxton (the dad) and I hate the way that they are using lil Kevin. Ms. E has always been a nasty woman. She used to cuss Mr. B something fierce and we in the office used to b so shocked. They all know that Traci would not want this when it comes to her son. Traci and Trina has always been the most down to earth out of them all. How many times did we see lil Kevin in the past. Big Kevin truth b told was tryin to keep his son out of this cuz he knew it would happen. Like Kevin Sr. said he been in dat family for 30 yrs, he knew this would happen and this is so cringy to watch.

I feel like Towanda heavily influences "Scratchy". The episode when he said, "I was BORN into this family, he married in" I said "And I OOP! that's a read!", but then I thought about it more and was like The Kevin Jr that we know wouldn't have been born into the family without BOTH Traci AND Kevin Sr. You see how Towanda ate it UP, When Kevin Jr said that ish. I had to roll my eyes because you could really see her spirit in that moment. They acting like the BRAXTON name is the Mafia or something and it irks my soul.

It actually just shows they aren't as close to Kevin as they are trying to make it look. His cousins did not even know his nickname. This is probably why Tamar is not saying anything and not taping as much.
Bringing this show back and saying its for Kevin Jr is the equivalent to ME of when Pat houston bringing bobbi kristina on a tv show right after whitney houston died just to expose and show all she was going through..it make me feel the same way then now..the focus is all on him bc no one wants to see that toxic ass family..they not getting help with their issues..in my opinion they exploiting tf out of him and i dnt see nothing about towanda kids and trini kids and they got all kevin shit out there for the world to see while he in pain..its crazy amd i used to enjoy the braxtons with all the sisters...traci used to protect her husband and son from her toxic ass family and i always understood..
I agree with everything you said 100%. I notice Kevin Jr was reaching out for help when being vulnerable with Towanda and she literally brushed it off. If something were to happen to him they should all feel guilty.
Shockingly enough, it was more than that. She completely gaslit him by looking at him incredulously and wryly asking “what, are you afraid to stay alone?” Yea, one with a modicum of common sense would think after having repetitive seizures that it isn’t a good idea to stay solo. It was the smirk on her face when she said it for me - all that instead of inviting him over to her house (if she has one), Trina’s or Ms. E’s. I believe Toni and Tamar have places in Atlanta now too. Smh. All these opps masquerading for aunts.
The therapy session could have waited.

I think it says a lot about people and their upbringing and how they view the world if they don’t see it that way. That man has played a pivotal role in his life ALL his life and the minute he is influenced outside of his mother’s guidance he turns on his dad. Not cool and he needs to make it right period

Them B's was broke. LieWanda & Trina filed for bankruptcy. That's why they're doing the show. Why was Jr in a hotel room when he has a Grandma and 2 Aunties who live in ATL. Why is LieWanda always in a car and not in her home? Tamar is a accumulation of the bitterness Ms E has over a 25 year old failed marriage.
Also Jr didn't even have his medication production had to call and go get his medication. This man/child is 29 and is very immature. He needs his Dad not his money hungry/ fame hungry Aunties.
Rumour is Towanda is in foreclosure.

I went to church with the Braxtons. Mr. Braxton was at both of my parents funeral as they were in each other weddings. My father was Traci's godfather, and she stayed connected with our family.
My family was aware of the breakdown of Ms. E and my mom their show came on shortly after my mom passed away. I know my mom gave her some warnings about pushing her girls into fame as hard as she did.
Michael saved me from drowning in their family pool.
So my heart is always with them.
Tamar has always been this way, and got into many altercations in high school because of her tude.
I honestly believe so much of Tamar’s antagonistic and combative personality stems from what she suffered through as a child. Seems like it contributed to shaping her entire personality.

I think Towanda is manipulating all of this, you notice Toni isn't filming with them and Tamar is a friend, Scratchy" she just started calling him that, I watched pass episodes, Scratchy hasn't been called, when Traci would talk about him not doing well with Junior Arthritis..... This is Towanda doing this, pay attention to Ms. E. When they speak about Lil Kevin aka Scratchy """ NOT!!!!
I agree with every point you made. The magnitude of grief that Kevin Jr is experiencing is not to be played with! I believe that they are taking advantage of him and because he’s in such a vulnerable delicate state, his judgment may be offkilter. The reason why I know, is because I’ve experienced that magnitude of grief. So in retrospect, I look back at the people who “cared”for me and whom I sought advice from, and I realized it was the wrong thing for ME to do Because I was so emotionally and mentally weak & vulnerable, I took their advice. SMH I just think Kevin needs to get off of the show and to seek intense therapy.
Jami, my girl! Another great recap and you spoke 100% facts and pretty much everything i was thinking. Excuse me if i sound all over the place but the scene with Towanda and Kevin triggered me.
When Towanda came to scene to check on Kevin, i was furious. Knowing that young man just suffered a medical emergency and her dumb self, as an aunt didn't demand he stay with her until he's well enough to fly back home says a lot to me. My niece's and nephews are my babies' too, so they wouldn't be in a hotel. And if y'all are as supportive as you pretend to be, you may not have wanted film that. People who suffer medical issues like that often develop anxiety when episodes occur, because you think about the worst-case scenarios of something happening while you are alone.
Personally, i felt it was insensitive and that she/they really didn't care. When he said "well can you make sure yall check on me" also set off a red flag 🚩🚩 in my mind. It screams, y'all don't call or check in on him as often as you try to make it appear. This entire scene just really triggered me because my family has been living this for the past 2 years as well.
And I feel like Mama E is barely a damn grandma! My grandma was all up in all of our business til the day she passed. She would never let anyone go through anything alone. Mrs. E too worried about getting her groove back smh
She’s a grandma to select kids. It’s crazy to see how triangulation and favoritism trickles down into family lines.

I loved this lighter episode with Toni and Mommy, the girlfriend lunch, and Toni being so giddy over Denim. This is what I want to see from them. I hope they can turn the page to doors of this.
Honestly, I think the stain has already been left. So many people no longer respect the brand that they worked tirelessly to build up. They put the stick in their own bike & complain when it doesn’t run. They doubled down on turning this exploitative storyline into an integral one instead of just focusing on their lives. Interestingly enough all this could have been avoided, but I suppose people who do unsavory things always tend to tell on themselves a little bit. Why they want an audience for this embarrassment people will never know.
@meemzing I totally agree. I almost bailed on the show but kept watching out of love of the family. It's just an all te low this season, and you're right. I don't know if they can come back from this, but I did enjoy the lighter scenes. Oan: "bike'??? Are you from Miami??? 🤣

I think this is why his dad is mad about him using his mom likeness for this show. Knowing they were NEVER IN LIL KEVIN LIFE LIKE THAT WHEN TRACI WAS ALIVE.

Diezel is the Autistic son - I think he moved into the acting side. Denim is the eldest son.
Diezel also model too he's the one who made denim want to model also. Denim plays basketball as well they both have two careers they into. That's a smart move because it give them the opportunity to pick which one they wants to take on fully.

@Jami thank you for the review I can’t watch this show but hearing about the neglect after the seizure is upsetting my son had epilepsy and passed at 18 due to having a seizure in the shower you have to monitor someone after a seizure praying for Kevin Jr
Kevin was probably epileptic before and has been most of his life.
Prayerfully this wont be another Bobbi Christina situation. That baby missed her mother and didn’t need to be on television; I feel the same about lil Kevin. He needs comfort and support, not to be paraded out for public consumption right now.

It’s apparent that he’s not cognitively capable of handling the responsibilities given to him right now and his aunts are taking advantage of him for their financial gain and stardom. I don’t know where things are with him and his father but if there is a time where a young man needs his family/parent this young man needs his father and those Braxton women should be ashamed of themselves. Every one of them. He is soo lost and I fear for him.
At this point all of them are friends to the show while scratchy is the only main cast manager. I hope he sees this show and notice how manipulative these women are.

You are definitely right @jami about stress causing seizures. I had one 9 years ago while pregnant as a result of stress. The doctor warned me about the amount of stress I was under. And shortly after I had a seizure. I adjusted my lifestyle a bit and never had one again. But him having multiple ones i hope he stays on the medication until he gets that together. And his aunt ain't shish for not being there for him knowing his situation and his concern.
I've been wondering since the show started if Toni is the only one allowed to move and do things without checking-in and telling everyone. It's like they have an unspoken hierarchy that's attached to their perceived/given roles within the family. We saw Toni hold the family album hostage because she didn't want to be direct and say no. Tamar started to work on her solo album and the sisters were upset, especially Towanda. Toni even told the sisters about Tamar working on her own album to distract from the fact that she didn't want to do the album and shift the attention to Tamar. I've never seen Toni report everything she's working on nor does it seem like the expectation is there. It's like they've been conditioned to not be individuals and none of them like it unless it supports them being upset with another sister.
The thing about it all is none of those aunties have KJ's best interest at hand. The entire season revolves around KJ and his personal business. These people came back on TV for money. When it comes to Ms. E she needs to sit down and stop trying to be one of the sisters and play the role God gave her.

Anybody else notice Towanda wearing humming bird earrings as if she's honoring Traci. I think that's very strategic on her part. On one hand using Traci's son, but also keeping up the façade of being all about what Traci wanted. She ain't fooling me. She is her mother's child.

That look crazy as hell. With a opportunity to provide good tv as a family show like the Kardashian and not use it in a good way is tragic. Now we see why Traci put in legal writing what she wanted and did not add her sisters or mother.
The thing is, Kevin Jr is a grown man. Yall can all try and say he needs someone to make his decisions for him or on his behalf, but Traci seemed to feel like he needed to grow up, thus she left him in charge of things. Throughout the show, she was always trying to make him grow up. He seems to now be trying to “be a man” and go through all the tough stuff alone. I know that mentality. And a family can’t just run and grab you and tell you they are going to handle all of your problems, when you are trying to prove to yourself that you are man enough to handle it. I just feel like yall are not giving enough accountability to Lil Kevin, that’s a grown man with a family. He can make his own decisions, even if he doesn’t make the best ones. All the family can do is be there when he comes to them.

I feel like Kevin Jr may not know how to make it in life right now. He seemed to have been taken care of by his mom... in a "my baby" type of loving care by his mom. Give him a break. He's where he is and it's sad that they don't seem to have his best interest at heart. It doesn't seem like The Braxtons ever been a close knitted family. I believe they love one another but it doesn't seem like they have brought their children up together. Stress can definitely induce seizures. My mom started have seizures in her 60s after never having seizures while my sister was battling chronic illness. This was also years after her being the caregiver for my dad who’d passed 5 yrs earlier.
I agree that grief like brought some things out of him good wife may not have had capacity to handle.

Tamar being a friend of the show was good for her that way she would not be obligated to film as much esp when things get ugly. All of those woman that were speaking with Ms. Braxton probably were not friends. Remember its a show. There was a scene on a previous episode a few years ago and it was clear they did not know Marla Gibs.

Kevin Jr. Is on the spectrum and was kept off camera for this reason. Traci discussed in the 2nd or 3rd season, when he was first dating Olivia. I don't think he processes information as quickly as others and so his respouses are as such. I had to stop watching this season because it's jus seems abusive and I feel sorry for him truly

Hey Jami, my daughter was in a bad car accident, and after that accident, she started having seizures for a while. She never had that problem b4. The Dr. Told her it was from the trauma of the accident.

Here’s my thing respectfully.. Kevin Jr is grown. While we got to see the Braxton kids as kids on BFV, a few of them are actually grown especially Kevin Jr. Maybe he wanted to come on the show, prayerfully he is getting monetary compensation from this show, which could have been more of an incentive for him to come on considering all that’s he’s dealing with the background. While I do think Towanda is doing a bit much, more than any of these other sisters, especially with that “scratchy” shit. But I don’t feel they’re exploiting him.
