    I’m glad I found this video . I just booked a site to visit there on Labor Day weekend.
    How is the drive to get there ?

      Hi there. I towed up from the East Grade side which is less twisty than the South Grade side.
      South Grade zig zag up the hill and much more steep too.

      Thanks for watching. Yes it's a good base camp to go visit all the different attractions in the area. It's can be hot in the summer when compared you the West side of mountain where there is CA State operated campground.

    Hey, that's my car at site 21/22 on July 1st. I remember seeing you walk around with your cam. It's horrible there, the flies and mosquitoes.

      Yes, I have read (I think on Yelp) some sites on that side of the campground has some mosquitoes issues possibly because they are closer to the creek. It's always good to bring along bug repellents :)
