Rooting for Jai, Briedis was his toughest opponent, why not go through the fire once more? Their last fight was freaking awesome, can’t wait for this one.
If Briedis hadn't given Jai a broken jaw, Jai would have ended him in the mid rounds.. Briedis should had capitalized the opportunity when he had him hurt, which disappointedly he didn't... This 2nd fight is no difference... Jai will knock him out!
“A formality, a passing of the torch”. Ridiculous. Briedis sent Opetaia to the hospital the first go around. What formality? Is Opetaia going to come to play nice to accept the torch? Silly comment. These guys will fight hard because they both believe they deserve what they are after in this fight. Briedis wins though as he has figured out Opetaia in the first fight and dominated the later part of it. Also the broken jaw will be a target for Briedis’ best punch, his uppercut. Briedis didn’t fight, but how many rounds did Jai fought and who did he fight? Both fights Opetaia had were against overmatched, low ranking opponents with soft records. So essentially Opetaia didn’t gain anything from those fights as a boxer. He definitely benefited financially and emotionally by getting back into ring after his jaw was reconstructed, but those were not fight that made him better. They definitely did not prepare him to face Briedis again.
