    Man injuries destroyed portland. They had a very promising starting 5 of Felton at pg, Brandon roy at sg, wallace at sf, aldridge at pf and a young and talented oden at centre.

    I really don't get how Artest did something bad in 1:05 - 1:10. Seriously. He was standing there, guarding Wallace, he wasn't elbowing or pushing anyone or whatever. What I saw there was Artest playing good D.

    he touched him like 4 times and there was 0 separation. clear foul. regardless if the guy on offense is running forward or whatever he is doing, you as the defender have to keep a separation.

    Doesn't matter, extending the arms = automatic foul. Easiest call in basketball. The travel is harder to call than that.

    Artest created a time machine to simply go back in time, join the English army and fight against William Wallace, for the sheer fact that he doesn't like the Wallaces.

    When the defender creates the contact it's a foul. When you are up in someones face, that's good defense. When you drape across them, or shove a leg under them and push with your body that's a foul. Granted, most times a ref is going to let them play. Unless your a known hothead then you get a call to calm you back down.

    I like all the copious amounts of butthurt from all these comments but you gotta realize that he plays the game physical and even Jordan picked fights and threw punches, hell he hit Steve Kerr and Reggie Miller and Reggie is a nice guy. Jordan ran his mouth a lot and people adore him but Metta actually walks the walk so I don't see your guys problem and the Detroit guy in the comment saying you would knock him out... no you wouldn't 6'8" 260... b!tch you're out of your mind

    So your saying Artest got his reputaion as a hard playing basketball player by simply playing stupid basketball?. Have you followed Artest and his career, sounds like you haven't. Obviously if you know sports, they would not promote any type of hard shot violence, so Artest didn't get his rep from there. It's the hard defense he plays that keeps him in the league, so anytime it looks like too much contact his going to get called by the refs due to the history of his brawls and silly plays.

  • @fazijslive
    @fazijslive 11 років тому

    Didn't he earn his reputation by being overaggressive and just plain stupid? remember the times he flipped off fans when he played in Sacramento? That famous brawl in Detroit? I mean he didn't get his reputation by having great sportsmanship, he earned by doing things like this. And the third play - Ok, contact while boxing out, but did you miss the shove after the basket? It was totally unnecessary! Better to stop that nonsense than letting him elbow someone in the face... like he did to Harden

  • @Oneofthosefatguys

    ummm.... they got a 3 peat title so that's 3 from 2000-2002, then they lost to the pistons in 2004 finals so that's 4 final appearances, then they lost to Celtics in 2008 and won 2009 and 2010 so lets seee hmmm..... 3 +1+1+2= 7 appearances then 5/7 since they lost in 2004 and 2008 OMG!! THIS MUST BE CALCULUS! A win is a win and Kobe/Shaq Lakers would gladly give you the middle finger with that 2002 ring on it. Shove it, Lakers all day baby.

    Hope that does not occur this upcoming season with the 'new' Laker-roster. I know there are a lot of 'Laker-haters' out there...What do you have 'against' the team? When you have a team as dominant and talented as the Lakers' do, someone will always have a cheap shot for them. Let them play ball. I hope they do not get eliminated this year in the first rounds. What do the Laker-haters have to say about 'this' comment, now? ; )

    Agree, no need for a long debate but to answer your question yes there's plenty of credibility assuming you're using the word insane without exaggeration. Yes, I said a little carried away, I've seen people flip out and fight over a damn xbox game but they're not INSANE, its called being competitive and sometimes you can get too emotional, especially Artest, he over does it but thats really it, nothing more to it, no insanity or public danger, nothing

    You lose a lot of your leeway on defensive posturing when you have a history like Artest does and especially when you are already acting chippy earlier in the game. The referees would look the other way for most players, but for him at that moment, not a chance.

    @PureDank420 I ain't no hater, I just know a punk when I see one. If Artest played in the days of Maurice Lucas for example he would've gotten the crap beaten outta him looong ago.
