We had a group called the spiritual four, and this was one the song We sang at church! I was Paul Beasley, and my sister Joyce was Willie Neal Johnson!! My brother Ray was on the lead, and my brother Earl was on the bass! Those were some good times. Thank you, Godpel Keynotes and Paul Beasley, for your faithfulness. You blessed many, many people! Paul, I'm sure my brother Ray was glad to see you because he died a week before you did last year!! 😢❤

Amen, I grew up hearing my momma play their records and hearing their songs on the radio getting ready for church. I fondly recall my momma at the sewing machine and their records playing.

WOW!!! Paul Beasley had a unique voice let no one else. I like his voice. He can really sing good . Great FALSETTO voice or High TENOR voice. I can't tell them apart.

A lot of people will never forget Paul. I was fortunate that I got to see him the month before his passing..
Paul wasn't a Gift,,, he was Annointed

Lord my parents used to love the gospel keynotes when I was growing up bring back so much memories going to Sunday school and Church services Lord rest my parents soul we met them in concert and even had their albums may Paul and Willie continue to rest in paradise
Willie and Paul were real people and always respected their supporters.

I am soooo glad that I grew up a Gospel Keynotes fan, and Mighty clouds of joy fan, I really loved, and admired Paul Beasley especially, and I didn't become a Mighty clouds of joy fan until Paul left the Gospel Keynotes, and became a member of the Mighty clouds of joy. I was always hoping that he would rejoin the Gospel Keynotes, and he did, and I was at the Gospel show on his return to the Gospel Keynotes at charity Baptist church in Brooklyn, New York in October of 1985. I had the opportunity to see him perform live, and the Gospel Keynotes live, and the Mighty clouds of joy live back in the days when Gospel shows were popular in the 1970's, and 1980's.
I am glad that you were able to enjoy the amazing Paul Beasley. I saw him about six weeks before he passed away. The Blind Boys were here in my city. We were supposed to get together but his manager told me he wasn't feeling well after the concert. That was the last time I saw him.

I'm so glad I came across this tribute and these wonderful songs i grew up with. I was heartbroken to hear about Paul. 😢 He, the Keynotes, Mighty Clouds, and the other greats will always be remembered and forever in my heart and their music in my ears. Its nothing like those songs in that era and in this one. I look forward to the day when we'll be able to Walk Around Heaven all day. 1 Thes 4:13-17. Comfort one another with those words.

oh man i'm just finding this out, i had no idea paul passed 😭😭😭. this hurts to the core because the keynotes is a huge part of my life's soundtrack, one of my 3 favorite groups. i'm gonna go on a keynotes marathon now!

When exactly did he transition to glory? I did a Google search and it just directed me to classic Keynote and Clouds videos and albums.
Actually Paul passed away on March 13, 2022. I got a chance to see him in concert with the Blind Boys of Alabama about 8 1/2 weeks before he passed away.

Not sure what you mean by intro.. The broadcast was a musical tribute to Paul Beasley, who sang with the Mighty Clouds of Joy and the Gospel Keynotes before he joined the Blind Boys of Alabama, which is where he sang until his passing.
