This man was single handedly responsible for uplifting the spirts of Japanese people after the events of Hiroshima and Nagasaki as the people were completely downtrodden by the dropped Nukes.
Not for losing the war and surrendering but for not being capable enough to defend themselves (I think). They still somehow took that to self-blame which is unreal. But thank you Tezuka-Sensei for creating an entire genre for the Japanese to regain their happiness and the rest of the world to enjoy together in a Global Community.
