    And I thought some of my ideas were too complicated. Although I didn't quite get it at first, I think the last minute or so explained it well enough. Never been a fanatic about firearms, though.

      Tooltip Tinkerer basic operation of a small arm, just remember these.
      feed, cock, load, lock, fire, unlock, extract, eject.

      Gotcha mate, rifles are now my favourite variety of firearm. I don't know what it is about them, but I think I like how badass it feels to pull the bolt back & forth.

    So what exactly activates the ejector when you pull the bolt back?

    • @mdsharol5478
      @mdsharol5478 8 років тому +1

      the ejector is Spring loaded plunger that pushes the base of the cartridge. once the fired round fully rearward, it will be ejected.

    How does the striker collar rotate when it gets put into locking position? There is no pin holding it to rotate it...

    • @hanyasedikitcerita
      @hanyasedikitcerita  Рік тому

      Good observation. The striker collar is part of the firing pin (the striker). As you watch the video, there is a firing pin stop pin and the bolt body will rotate simultaneously with regard to the firing pin (the striker). And the firing pin stop pin will align with the firing pin stop pin groove on the striker collar. Waiting for release.

      Atesz222 how does semi-auto work?

    • @Atesz222
      @Atesz222 9 років тому +1

      That heavily depends on the type of firearm you ask. E.g. an SKS works by using the propellant gases from tha cartridge and a Colt M1911 has a "Short recoil operation" which I cannot explain myself. A few minutes of Google-ing can give you plenty of information on how the different guns work. Or you can try a game on Steam called World of Guns : Dissasembly. It's completely free and you can view plenty firearms, dismantle them and see how they work.

    Is this video based on the real mechanics of this gun?
    It seems that it's cock-on-close , but I remembered that this weapon is cock-on-open
    Can anyone give me an answer? I really want to know whether I'm correct.
    Thanks
