they dont want su to leave, leaving sakura gakuin means they will either go solo or join other group or even other companies, which means they might have no chance of performing together or even seeing each other again due to different work place, basically, it was kind of a "the end"
@@LouieGrandie Thanks for putting this explanation. I didn't know either. I just can't bear to see these girls unhappy. At least we know the future. World domination is around the corner.
I am not sure why. I mean we all know Moa cries at the drop of a hat (miss 'heart on her sleeve') but Yui is to. This is Su's actual 15th birthday, the song is the last (as I recall) of the concert and the second of a set of three concerts (the third Legend Z was Feb 2013). This set of three was their first headline concerts (all in Toyko). At the time BM was still a subunit of Sakura Gakuin and Su was due to graduate in March 2013 (it was not until the actual end of Legend Z that annoucement was made the BM was going to continue as a separate group. Up until then most assumed it would either end with Su's graduation or they would rotate in a new singer like all the other SG clubs). But I guess OTFGK.
Months old but outside of the other replies' significance, just looking at the lyrics of this song should give enough meaning of the song's tone. Wanting to fly away from all the sadness in the world that is.
@@Backoffboogaloo Yeah, which makes the inclusion in evangelion makes more sense. Learned this song from elementary class didn't have an idea about it then, but it definitely will make you cry one way or another.
Tsubasa wo kudasai is a church choir song in japan composed in the 70s. is babymetal christian? fuck if I know. the song itself however has a history linked with the japanese christian church. as for imagery in the song lyrics the wings may refer to angel wins, and flying into the blue sky could represent ascending to heaven.
Ebon Hawk: Weird. I never once considered the song particularly religious. Sure, there's a lot of symbolism in it, but I never thought it referred to Christianity as such. The way I always interpreted it, the "wings" referred more to freedom to pursue one's dreams, and the part with flying into the blue sky referred more to the act of actually pursuing one's dreams. Also, I thought it was a children's song... It certainly does something to the song now that I know it's a religious song, not a children's song... Not saying it's better or worse for that. It's just different...
