Never realised before hearing with earphones for the first time. The dispatcher on his radio was talking about him. "Code unspecified. We have a query/locate priority of a pursuit special. Unauthorised use by a main force officer. This is designated as a potential code 3 red alert"
This is the premise of the story which is reinforced in this part. The premise is that in this "not so far future", the state has become powerless due to overlegislation, bureaucracy and human rights. Do you remember how that gang member was set free because no victim reported to the police for what he did? The idea here is: "forget about the laws and the 'right way of doing things', this is not going to work in this mean world we live in. We've got to handle matters by our own hands".
Always liked this movie! The bikes sounded so good! I’ve seen biker gangs ride through our town with similar bikes long time ago! They’d have the mufflers gutted or special pipes installed! Talk about a great sound! Like monsters roaring through the neighborhood! Some would hit the throttle & make their bikes fishtail up the road!
Bubba sort of knew what he was doing. When the stuntman is pulled from from bike you can see the cables that were attached to stuntman. Stopped in the same location ( lined up with the Yo Yangs in the background) on way back from MM 40th Anniversary & did the Interceptor take off scene in mates 393 stroker XB Hardtop. And when they run over Max's arm you can see the hole they dug in the road to place arm in.
We can see clear to the horizon in every direction. But two riders on bikes silhouetted against the terrain just blends right in. Having them hide behind a log or something would have made me appreciate this scene so much more.
And thus came the end of disillusioned vietnam veteran Toad a.k.a Toecutter and his biker journey from suburbia to the sticks where his madness was passed on to the next generation i.e Max.
I don't know about anyone else but as a teenager after watching mad max on h.b.o. then going to see the road warrior on the big screen I was heartbroken when I learned that the Ford falcons (x.b.) models were not produced in the u.s. I still want one,
The sound of the vehicles...give whoever did the sound work a lifetime chunk of the proceeds of the franchise. The Interceptor had a panther like growl, yet a banshee's wail. The sound of Toecutter's motorcycle, and Max's first pursuit vehicle sounded kick ass! All around, the sound was top drawer.
Kwaka 1000 bulletproof and leaves competitors in the dust. Just take a look at the the windshield part of the faring of Hughs bike and see how the wind is bending it due to the high speed they are doing. Incredibly brave filmmaker
The slight shakiness and frame rate changes when the interceptor first pulls up behind toecutter gives me the feel goods. Gives the chase a unique look and almost cartoonish (in the best of ways) feel to the game of cat and mouse.
Filmed down at little river outside Melbourne Australia. The you yang's in the background. I used to go rabbit, fox and Quall hunting all over that background when i was a teenager.
A work that created a never-before-seen landscape of fear expressed through violence in the heyday of horror films...... director, I sincerely hope that you will return to your ...... roots!
I like the continuity in these movies. In this film you see Max get shot in the leg and in Road Warrior he's got a leg brace. In Road Warrior you see him get his face smashed from the truck crashing and he's still got some visible bruising in Beyond Thunderdome. Although some of them seem to have healed up in Fury Road, I think he still had his brace.
@@Wailwulf But if you look closely in Fury Road there are three rips on the upper left of the jacket that were sewn up and repaired that was caused when he was attacked in the Road Warrior. So I would figure Fury Road happens between The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome.

3:30 - the way the interceptor approaches is such a small scene built up in a such oppressive way though
Such a classic film.. so raw and gritty....
that chase between a car and a motocicle its priceless.
That's, "motorcycle".
True definition of roadkill 😂😂😂
Love how Max can work that Heavy Duty clutch with a blown out knee...
Maybe hid behind some hill or in the grass idk ?
The soundtrack in the first two movies was amazing.
Yeah, the third one just felt like a kid's movie towards the half/end of the movie...
Yeah first two movies were straight up aussie cine, the third was more like a hollywood production without that raw violence
1:48 when you drink a cold beer
Had me chuckling for a while lol
Bubba was a hell of a shot with that revolver.
RIP Hugh Keays-Byrne.
No one else could play the toecutter!
And thus came the end of disillusioned vietnam veteran Toad a.k.a Toecutter and his biker journey from suburbia to the sticks where his madness was passed on to the next generation i.e Max.
Remember him when you look at the night sky.
Who's here in 'Respect for a LEGEND'👍👍😉
Mad Max is hard as hell, double clutching with a blown out knee cap.
I wonder if Cundalini still wants his hand back?
RIP Hugh.
I myself will carry you to the gates of Valhalla, UA-camr... you will ride eternal, shiny and chrome! Instead, who will ride eternal, rusty and gold?
It's interesting how he's not with the rest of the gang when they break out of the shed, I assume he bled out in there.
I’ll tell you what. I’ll swap you!
@@kieranfo3739 maybe him and May are livingchappily ever after
still one of the best 'big boss' kills ever👀😲👏all 18 tires runned over toecutta 😁✌😎
The slight shakiness and frame rate changes when the interceptor first pulls up behind toecutter gives me the feel goods. Gives the chase a unique look and almost cartoonish (in the best of ways) feel to the game of cat and mouse.
モーゼル構えたババが最高にカッコよかった。
@ 3:34 , Such a cool shot. The ToeCutter frantically tries to elude but Max closes in for the kill.
It’s as if the black interceptor was toying with him 🤘🏻
Love how menacing the interceptor looks proper Aussie muscle
yeah,
wish I still had mine from 1982 :(!!!
out of all mad max villains, bubba zanetti is the only one that gave max permanent injury in his leg and hand
R.I.P. Hugh!😭
Filmed down at little river outside Melbourne Australia. The you yang's in the background. I used to go rabbit, fox and Quall hunting all over that background when i was a teenager.
The sound of the engines... Man this movie kickass!
3:58 and Max just teleported away behind him at the last moment. What incredible skills.
I've only just realise that the voice in the car at the start of the video is the dispatcher talking about max
Unauthorized use of a black pursuit special.
A work that created a never-before-seen landscape of fear expressed through violence in the heyday of horror films...... director, I sincerely hope that you will return to your ...... roots!
The bikes in this movie sound so awesome👌👌👌👌
The toecutter,best villain ever!!!!!!!!!!
Agree scary fck up there with the assassin from Old Country for old men
That’s got to be the best scene the toe cutter snarling.
Once my mean nabor lady was going to cuss me out until I hissed at her like the toe cutter then she turned and went back inside her house lol ha ha ha
i love the painted on bullbar on the truck, always cracks me up
When nothings left but madness
Max is filled with so much rage it don't even leave room for pain in his body
3:11
Just seeing it bob around like that is enough of a wet dream for any petrol head!
Hugh Keays-Byrne RIP,what great filmes the Mad Max ones are, simple and very enjoyable, will be thinking of Hugh when i twist the throttle this summer.
Fury Road is a separate timeline. In Fury Road, Road Warrior and Thunderdome never happened.
@@Wailwulf No, it happened after the trilogy. The official comics confirm it.
@@Wailwulf But if you look closely in Fury Road there are three rips on the upper left of the jacket that were sewn up and repaired that was caused when he was attacked in the Road Warrior. So I would figure Fury Road happens between The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome.
He has the leg brace in Fury road.
@@carlwest2752 The leg brace is due to him being shot in the knee in Mad Max 1
350.000 dolares... althoug say Budget 100.000 dollars.... master piece crazy... GENIUS..
Once you see the front of the truck and the story behind it you cannot unsee it
I just read about that today. Now I'm gonna watch that scene.
Hugh Happily and eternally ride shiny and chrome into Valhalla! May God bless you soul bro
Never get tired of watching Max taking out the trash
I wish this film was two parts long,
so the second half would be Max going full-on Punisher-mode on that gang.
