I can't explain why I love these videos more than other hiking vlogs. I'm trying to come up with a trip for the week of memorial day. might just find a sintax video and follow his excellent record keeping in the description.
The amount of items packed in on this trip exceeds what we pack in our little camper for trips 😂. Way to make it a fun family trip. You are a pack mule for your lovely wife.
I just started watching your videos so I am watching alot of your older videos now. I have been wanting to hike over at Pinchot trail but its on my list for September. Love all your videos especially the Mt Washington winter hike.
The first video of yours that I ever watched was when you packed with Sarah/Sara and you had everything go wrong! I’m glad everything is so much better, even though it rained!!!
From Prince Edward Island in Canada: try raspberry jam on a grilled cheese sometime. It's a local tradition and the sweet vs. savory, is a game changer. Thanks for sharing another great trip. 👍
Thanks for another great video. You did the right thing by going to the cabin the week before. The main point is to have fun and to enjoy some family time, which you did in the cabin. Then you did the hike the next week, so you, Sarah, and Dinali has more quality time together. I liked Sarah's projector. Keep hiking!
Nice trip, I'm gonna have to check out this area myself. Have you considered GMRS HT radios? $35 for a 10yr family lic. with no test. Plenty of power for outdoor activities and Wouxun has several weather resistant HTs with weather and SHTF listening bands. Our group always has several HTs on hand for every hike.
You did good to have the tarp. It gives you comfort and flexibility that the tent, alone, could not. I love tarps and carry one with my tent, a Zpack duplex with a dynema tarp. Both are so light that their weight I can carry. Kentucky This is my second view, a year later. Still glad to see the tarp/tent setup. I had three daughters and a wife that didn’t care for camping…so I tried encouraging them toward gentle camping, big tent, bigger tarps, big enough to cover the picnic table and the truck, then a second tarp for the tent porch very close to the picnic table. Yes, it was a big deal to setup, diagonal ridge 15 feet high, 7 feet high on the low side…long guy lines. We only did day hikes in the Smokies. It worked; the daughters grew up liking the outdoors. Their mom and I retired on the Little River, coming out of the mountains. This very moment, I’m watching geese floating down the river and the sun is beautiful. We retired in the East Tennessee mountains. I have enjoyed your hiking for years now. You’re a real celebrity, now. Thanks for sharing.
Stoaked to see what y'all have been up to and hope this trip has less bumps in the road for ya than some of the previous trips. I'll have this playing as soon as I'm off work! Take care and be well.
sintax77: Sara found a nice little cottage. Sara: It's a cabin.. What are we in Europe? That's so weird. I JUST looked up the difference between these two an hour ago, and found that yeah.. Cabins are more like I imagine what you can find in the US wilderness, and cottages were more European.
Really enjoyed this video!! I did the full loop about a week after y'all were there so only overnight below freezing temps, flurries, and wind. Glad I missed out on the rain but I liked seeing how well your tarp set up worked for dry living space.
Looks like you had a fun trip. The first video projector I installed was a Sony three tube that took a couple of guys to pickup. About 20 adjustments to get the picture square. Loads of fun on scaffolding. Now some are cell phone sized.
Two of my kids, one dog and I did the whole Pinchot Loop in the Poconos, north and south over two nights, in August 2017. Nice, easy trail to get introduced to backpacking. And I have a ULA OHM and love it. Great combo between very ultralight and durability.
Another excellent Sintax77 video with Sara this time. 👍 I have always liked how you keep your videos real without cutting out parts that most would. Since I haven't asked in a long time when are you going to come up to my area? 😀🤣
The temps seem cooler than what they are predicting don't know why.....what a team! Where are the hammocks? 😲 Party lights are awsome. I have some cheese cake in fridge be right back ! With strawberries omg. My Coonhound sleeps in hammock with me she loves it. Bonnie gets in a Coon ball and curls up in bottom. Bacon with those sandwhiches would be tasty, yes. Sarah your so chill. Good to see ya both hanging out.
Great content! We'll start sending your channel to our clients who recently bought land from us near the camping areas. This will surely give them motivation to try new activities. Thanks for sharing! 😊
I love the videos Sintaxx , always a treat when I get the notification when u release a new one . But I gotta say you may have jumped the shark with this one . Love to see some hikes in totally new locations and in better weather
59 min in, putting out fire and coals; you can use a lot less water and stir it around with a stick. That did look pretty effective, but using the water to separate the units of heat and fuel, and then mixing them with a stick, then adding a bit more water, is even more effective, and uses less water. - It's just another kind of mud pie to get into making.
Welcome to Pennsylvania, the bi-polar state. lol I’m about an hour from Scranton. Lived in this state most of my life minus 2 years when I moved to Georgia in the mid 80’s. “Sarah, I’m hiking with you fer sure there’s rain😂” it’s good to see all three of yas camping together❤️
Somebody got the gold and left the pot. When the gold runs out they'll wish they had it. I cant be the only on that yelled Final Destination when you asked about the movie.
Very pretty waterfall on the hike back. Tent looked comfy and dry when the rain came. Grilled cheese and tomato soup looked like it hit the spot in the cold weather. It was cold here in Wisconsin in April too. I wanted to go camping, but decided to wait till it warmed up. And I have a camper with heat! Nali was so cute and well behaved. Very laid back. Enjoyed the video. Good job with it!
Right recon your info safety first your up in my old stopping ground wow thanks a bunch been along time since I seen that place ... summer in this place is wet lots rain but fun in summer not to far to Delaware river with excellent canoeing and riverside camping nice area good choice...👍
Would you consider doing a new pack gear review video? It's been a while since you did a summer pack review. Keep up the great work with your channel! Bob
From W4GSM, great looking river at the camp sight, wonder if there were any native trout. Get a larger battery for the H.T. they really use lots of power if transmitting. If you can program those H.T.s you have half the battle won. The first HAM TICKET is very easy and mountain topping is fun. Much to learn and it is a very big hobby, but only if you really want to. Love your videos. Dave.
You should try mayo instead of butter. Easy to spread on the bread and since mayo contains oil, it is self lubricating in the pan. It also creates a great crust. Just to clarify, you put mayo on the outer sides of the grilled cheese.
Great to see Sara and Denali back on the trail. I have been trying to figure out which actress Sara looks like, Jenna Elfman, Kaley Cuoco or Sarah Chalke. All beautiful ladies. Great video by the way.
I thought everybody knew that when a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup were within reach of each other you have to dunk the sandwich in the soup. I could almost hear many of the viewers and a certain dog on the trip trying to will it to happen. 🤤
Getting the technician license is really easy... there's a bunch of apps that prepare you for it. I read a book and practiced the test with the apps, but it was overkill. I got the same setup as you with the Baofeng radio and the collapsible antenna. I usually end up programming the radio with CHIRP with all of the NWS radio stations, and ranger towers in the area a few other local repeaters, and then the simplex frequencies.
Sintax77, love these videos and you, Sarah and Denali make a great team. A lot of fun to watch no matter wether it’s rain or shine. You probably now me best by the stuff I send to deer camp with Whiterook85….the Vermont cured bacon sticks this last year and a bottle of whiskey each year for a while now. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks for bringing us along! Cheeseburger Time!
Maybe I missed it! but does someone have access to the name or link of what I assume is a mini projector? I'm not seeing it in the description. Thats EPIC! Netflix on the tent wall!? Sign me up!
Go for your Ham radio license. Find a club in your area. They will help you study for your license. The latest contest craze is Parks on the air where you communicate with other hams to activate the parks. Good luck. De KB3MTW. Got my license in 2005.
YAY Sarah is BAck!! I love it when you bring her along it always seems like you are more laid back when she is with you. I am planning a short stretch of the AT next year.. I am doing 28 days. AS an experienced hiker I have a question. Since my time on the AT will be finite, should I try to pack all my food to minimize days in to resupply towns? just looking for some thoughts on the subject.
Here is a little weird suggestion, use mayo on the bread instead of butter. It makes a great crust on the bread and you can't even tell you didn't use butter.
Thanks, Katie. It's a Nebula Capsule first edition by Anker. They have a newer version, but it's a bit bigger and heavier, so I got the original one as a refurb on Amazon.
the two of you are very entraining , love Sara's wit
I can't explain why I love these videos more than other hiking vlogs. I'm trying to come up with a trip for the week of memorial day. might just find a sintax video and follow his excellent record keeping in the description.
You two make a great team , it’s a hoot listening to the two of you 👍
Final destination is the movie you guys were trying to think of. Liked the video Sintax. Always better when you bring your wife and dog. Thanks
So nice to have the Mrs along for these trips! Long live the Queen, Sarah 😉
It's a good day when sintax drops a video with sara and the dog! Thanks for sharing.
It's an even better day after watching it. Bushyboy Oz.
I like to make sure there is extra room in the pack quilts and tarps are never as small as they are when I am leaving my house. Great Video
The amount of items packed in on this trip exceeds what we pack in our little camper for trips 😂. Way to make it a fun family trip. You are a pack mule for your lovely wife.
Always a good day when a new Sintax77 video arrives!
The Sintax77 family adventures are always the best!
Great video. You and Sara are real people. Thanks!
Hi Shawn, Sarah, Denali 🐾 always great to see you, hope you're doing well, stay safe and take care my friends 🙏 ✌️
Thank you so much for the trailhead, route, and campsite information you give! You’re the best at that.
Obviously love your adventures with Sarah
Always great to see you with your lovely wife and great dog. I actually watched your sponsor piece just because Sarah is so funny.
I'm finding myself enjoying these vlogs. And she's a great hiking partner. Love her attitude and energy.
Sarah is so funny!
Thanks for the humor Sarah AKA Vanah White, always enjoy your contribution!
Glad to see you didn’t leave the tent’s poles behind this time.😎
Yeah Sara and doggie are back! It’s 5am, watching with my headset on, feeling like it’s raining outside, and hungry for a grill cheese sandwich 🥪 😅😅
Gus wears the Hurtta coats! They are soooo nice, not cheap but nice! Happy to see you back out in the dirt!
Always enjoy your solo hikes and camping but this one with the family was an extremely fun! Thanks for sharing it.

Excellent video. And what a great dog! Apparently, he can even lead, and follow blazes.
Sara looking good as always!! The best part besides sara is Denali!!! Love when Denali goes camping hes such a good dog!!

Shawn, you and Shug are the best backpackers on UA-cam-humble, authentic people!
New Sintax77 = great day! Thanks for the vid!
Final Destination!
Not always regular but always a good day when S77 drops a video and even better that it's over a hour and that we've got the missus and your dog.
Final destination
I remember the forgot tent video 🤣 and Sara sleeping in the netting
My favorite videos on your channel are the one's with you and Sarah
Really enjoyable video.
I love the family backpacking trips very enjoyable vlog.
you picked a great site and went the right way on the loop!
Really enjoyed this video!! I did the full loop about a week after y'all were there so only overnight below freezing temps, flurries, and wind. Glad I missed out on the rain but I liked seeing how well your tarp set up worked for dry living space.

Pine needles are the poor outdoorsman's rosemary. Eat em up. Extra flavor.
Nice to see your wife and dog along for the trip.
Looked like a great time.
Thanks for the video
I love the family outings the most! So real and so relaxing unless your cooking runaway dogs on a grill. 😂
Thanks for sharing!
Great to see you all, enjoy watching your adventures. 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
Great video .Nice to have Sarah and Denali along.Looks a lovely trail.
Sintax : "No more of me with my pants down"
Sara : "Are you sure?"
😂😂😂
Two of my kids, one dog and I did the whole Pinchot Loop in the Poconos, north and south over two nights, in August 2017. Nice, easy trail to get introduced to backpacking. And I have a ULA OHM and love it. Great combo between very ultralight and durability.
I've been back to Choke Creek. It was a tick paradise.
Another excellent Sintax77 video with Sara this time. 👍 I have always liked how you keep your videos real without cutting out parts that most would. Since I haven't asked in a long time when are you going to come up to my area? 😀🤣
Cool to see you make the best of raining days.
If you ever want to add some extra flavor to a grilled cheese bring some jelly along! Spread it on top after cooking and it's the best.

I'm 15 minutes into the video and praying you have the tent this time 😳😁!
We top our grilled cheese with Miracle Whip/whipped dressing. You got everything in big blue but the living room sofa.
What a wonderful video! Thank you for uploading it. God bless you both. John

Hopefully you buy the Dog a Burger, he was very well behaved.
This is a great video especially as I'm currently gearing up to thru hike the AT and Florida trail
That's awesome - good luck! :)
Wooo hooo you're in my area of Nepa! That's awesome, love this. Keep up the great work can't wait to see what you have in store for the Summer.
Great video! Gee, Sarah was giving you some stick 🤣🤣 Great banter 👍
As always I enjoyed the video. Looking forward to more adventure.

Sara videos are the best!!! 😍

You guys need to come out west into Rockies and cascades

That’s a lotta food to carry. For 28 days. Most I’ve carried was 10 days rations and that was pretty big in the pack.
Yes that would be about 30 lbs of food, that’s a lot.
@@gregharmon3797 do the freeze dried meals weigh 1 lb each? hadn't thought of that
@@stephenlawson4973 You only plan on eating one freeze dried meal a day? Good luck with that.
You’re going to want a couple breaks from the trail, Stephen. Take advantage of the breaks and resupply… don’t carry the excess weight.
Love the video and the honesty! Lol
Day hiked the southern loop a few weeks ago, must have just missed you
I got my ham radio license by listening to the audio book titled The Fast Track to Your Technician Class Ham Radio License by Michael Burnette
Thanks, I'll check that out :)
I am almost 70 y/o, and you two make a beautiful couple....
Love your videos !

This isn't a weird suggestion at all and it taste good.
Yeah!! So excited to see a new trip video from you, and extra bonus that it’s with Sara and Nali! What kind of projector is that? I need one :)
Thanks, Katie. It's a Nebula Capsule first edition by Anker. They have a newer version, but it's a bit bigger and heavier, so I got the original one as a refurb on Amazon.
