Just so happens that a high elbow usually has a larger distance from the body. But if you analyse Taufik Hidayat, the king of backhand, his elbow is not too high.

Nice, my technique is pretty much the same but I'm not whipping my wrist fast enough, and elbow slightly on the low side I use the Li Ning Windstorm 74 it's a 6U, Flexible Flex, but that Havoc S1 looks nice, looks like you're getting it to the back effortlessly..
