  • In this video we take a little look at how to install wool or yarn string silencers in to your traditional bow sting. Or how it's referred to in this innuendo heavy episode "inserting your Grizzly Ball in to a G-String"

    I managed to watch this with a straight face and not laugh at the innuendos, but it is pretty hard with Jim talking about g-strings and grizzly balls.. Shared on Tumblr too Jim as it is informative and a great way to cheer people up on a Friday afternoon.

    I really like the colours in your demo silencer. (And it's a nice touch shipping them in a little ballsack.)

    Cant wait for mine to turn up! I’m still keeping my original beaver balls on my cottonmouth cause that’s what I started with but these are going straight on my horseman

    How much do you charge for 1 on 1 sessions jim? I'm agoraphobic so archery has really helped me. Thanks for putting in the time to make these videos.

    I was thinking about getting a couple sets of string silencers to put on my 80lb bickerstaffe flatbow for hunting but I don't see anyone with a larger bow rock string silencers. Your thoughts Jim?

    When attaching fur ball to a multi strand string do you separate each individual strand or divid them in half

    Question: I've done this before on one of my bows which has a regular old Dacron string and had no issues. I recently bought a new bow and tried the exact same thing, but on this bow (same Dacron type string) the balls leave a gap in the string. Should I worry about this? It doesn't seem like something that should be happening...

    • @ArcheryAdventures
      @ArcheryAdventures  4 роки тому

      Neal Grieb sounds like you’re either dropping a few twists while inserting the silences. Or the silencer themselves are a little thick, causing the two string bundles to separate..
      Hope that helps Neal

      @@ArcheryAdventures indeed, but it's this a problem for the string? Is assume I'm losing the benefit of having all of the strands working together. I don't want to break a string and/or a bow...

    Always nice to see you again Jim!
    I'm using either theme balls, or the small rubber silencers.
    Both are working great. Wool for sunshine and the rubber for rainy days.
    Looking forward to that review you mentioned!
    Have a nice day.

    Does it matter if you run one silencer on the top or the bottom? Or do you need to have 2 installed when shooting?

    You will never be multi millionaire with that attitude. Telling people to be careful cutting there balls so they don't nick the string. That attitude is losing you potential sales of string and possibly a new set of balls.
    Seriously they look good and really like the colour of those you used.

    It's shocking that the guy sponsored by Grizzly Strings also thinks Grizzly Balls are better than Beaver Balls. I find it odd, but it may be true.

    • @ArcheryAdventures
      @ArcheryAdventures  6 років тому

      Tango Nevada lol sponsored?!? It’s my company dude 😂 I’d love to sponsor my self, but I’m just not that good. Grizzly balls aren’t necessarily “better” than beaver balls. They are however easier to install and lighter than beaver balls. Archery is all about personal preference and what works for you...

    • @TangoNevada
      @TangoNevada 6 років тому

      While it may be true and I am willing to believe it is (The ease of install part). It just reinforces my point even more. But that's okay. Your balls may be far better and I have no problem admitting that may be the case (No I am not even going to bother with the pun ease). I'm just saying it's in your best interest to say that they are better. So whether sponsored by or the owner of, of course you will say your product is better and I wouldn't expect anything less. I guess what I am saying is, I was initially under the impression this was a review and I got an advertisement instead. But no worries. Both are pretty cheap and easy to compare and test.
