Dear description:
Charlotte is in North Carolina. Half of Carowinds is in South Carolina, the other half is in North Carolina.
So this ride is in North Carolina?
MudgateBronn I think both? It goes around half the park. The park is not actually not in Charlotte, rather just outside of it, kind of like how Disney World is outside of Orlando, but people say it's in Orlando.
TheSwellFellow The only ride in the world to cross two states is Thunderroad at Carowinds (and the vortex but its only one foot of track) The intimidator is in the S.C. part of the park.

Is it like really scary? and do the hills take your stomach a lot? I'm going next Saturday and I'm kind of scared to go on this but I really want too.
+Kinsley Black it wasn't too bad. The first hill kinda took my stomach. I didn't scream tho, it was really fun. (Ps, if you have long hair, put it up in a ponytail. 😂

+Echo Kenz Was going to ride vortex and nighthawk and intimidator, but got rained out. it stormed pretty bad last night while we were up there in Charlotte. it was so fun though! At the end we got stuck in Starbucks because of a flash flood warning and a tornado warning 😂

It's a lot more terrifying IRL. I tried not to scream and didnt but right when I got off I nearly broke down screaming.
After the first drop I love it. The anxiety is all gone after that first drop.
I was too shocked seeing as it was the first roller coaster I'd ever been on in my life. Thus rendering me unable to scream or actually have a reaction except for looking dead.

Made my husband go on this w/ me. There was a lady behind me that kept tapping my shoulder, legitimately trying to have a full on convo w/ me. Like yes, it's obvious my hubby's scared sh*tless & im the complete culprit who dragged him in. Somewhere always being in between the "jerkwad" laughing at him, & being the only person who can comfort him. .. yes, it's humorous. But this only lasts for so long & I am actually trying to have my own moments w/ him. bc idk how many times I can talk him into doing this anyways. 😋🤔💡 possibly my birthday 🤣... but yeah, shhhh. I only responded bc I didn't want to come off as rude. I tried to cut it short by js I threw him to the wolves bc 🤷🏻♀️ idk. Lady?!!! We're. On. A. Ride!!!! 🤫... Hes not even much of a talker himself anyways. Bc Person: exists. Him: don't mind if I do. Spill everything on u, that is. I can talk to strangers anytime. Getting my husband outside of his hot mess of a shell?: rare!
With 8 drops, strong Gs, anti-gravity lifts, and high speed curves, the fact that the first drop is a few dozen feet shorter than intimidator 305 doesn't diminish it. This coaster is a top shelf thrill ride. I haven't ridden 305 (yet) but the POV vids convince me the carowinds version will remain my favorite.
I think that the one biggest things you must do when riding roller coaster is embrace it. Don't freak yourself out and normally, you will then enjoy the ride. People black out because they become too anxious. And if you believe in Christ, know that he's right there with you. No fear. Regardless of your belief, don't allow fear to have you afraid of experiencing a roller coaster. Every last one of you CAN do this!!!! My first on this will be at Scarowinds this year (2014). ^.^ I'm excited!

At Wild adventures there's the boomerang and the twisted typhoon that is high and you look at ground while going upside down pretty amazing I got on them back after back

I rode the intimidator about four years ago. I took my kids yesterday and this was the first thing we rode. It was my 13 year old sons first time and he was in the 3rd row with his cousin. I was right behind them with no one in the other 3 seats. It took me almost an hour to get my nerves under control 😂😂😂. Fun ride, but a lot of drops (hills). My son said it was his first and last time 🤦🏽♀️😂

I really like this roller coaster! It lasted longer than I expected.
Only part that really scared me was the way up. I guess that is why they call it the intimidator. Other than the way up (when i was freaking out) I had a blast. I highly recommend this ride.

The park is in fort mill South Carolina and in Charlotte North Carolina
I rode it last year with the Southern middle school band and me and one of my friends rode in the very front and it was awesome!! Loved the ride! We had a competition and that is where we are going again in the Spring!

When I first rode this is was horrified but on my 3 ride I helped my friend get though their first ride on it! I was so proud of myself and now I’m trying to get my cousin to ride it with me as her first ride too!

I am a Coaster Enthusiast, and this is by far one of the best. Some might think that the lack of invertedness would detract from the excitment factor. Not true. As stated already, this is one of the smoothest "coasters" designed. The key to this ride is the seat design. The rider feels completely free. I appreciate the person that posted this video, but this video doesnt do the ride justice. It looks like all you see is the track in front of you, but that's not the case.

Went there with my cousin on June 4th. Got there before the park opened so that this would be the first thing we rode without having to wait in a long line. It was the first time riding for both of us and it was quite a riot. We both were a bit nervous but enjoyed it much. We rode it twice and that first drop aint no joke! ..... 206 ft drop I believe. Fun ride! Go and enjoy!

The day this came out, my little brother made me ride front row, like exactly where this vid is filmed, i was 13 at the time and was freaking out, little kids were making fun of me i was terrorified, then after that first hill i had so much fun! ! ! It was amazing, i rode it 12 more times that day and am obsessed now XD
