Hands down the best historical miniature painting channel I have found. Only wish the videos were more frequent. Life gets in the way I know. Would you ever entertain receiving a figure or two to paint for us as these videos are very informative. Being American it would be great to see some AWI and ACW figures not to mention American troops from the Napoleonic period.
What a lovely comment to wake up to. I'll have a big smile on my face today thanks! I have been meaning to get back to my AWI figures for a while now but the Napoleonics always drag me back in! I also bought a bunch of second hand ACW books including Don Troiani's illustrations recently with the intention of painting some more from that period. The War of 1812 is something I could lend my hand to for the odd figure. My output for the channel currently has to play second fiddle to paying work, but making the guides is a good way to get me to paint the things I want to paint. Eventually I will be happy with my Napoleonic French (ha!) and there will be more variety.
The static grass is a "spring" mix in 4mm from the now defunct 4Ground, but I think multiple companies will do the same. The tufts are "dark green" and "blue flowers" from www.warpainter.net. I did a video on the basing technique pretty recently if you look at my other content.
An enjoyable watch and a very nice result indeed! Thank you. Cheers.
Thanks for watching.
Thanks for another excellent tutorial. The results are very impressive indeed.
You're welcome. I am happy that people might find these tutorials helpful.
This is a really interesting guide and I really appreciate the history notes on the type of soldiers. Thanks very much for sharing your work.
You are very welcome. I am glad a bit of explanation as to what an ADC was was a helpful addition.

Excellent. What are the specifics on the length and brands of the grass on your base please mate. Thanx from Australia
