It is my understanding that the radon pump should never be placed inside the home, in case of leakage. Then the radon would be pumped from under the foundation and right into the habitable living space.
Hello, I'm in Illinois getting ready to try and get into mitigation. Why not mix up like a motar mix or a slury of quick crete and pour into it like a inch or two thick?
The high volume fan is primarily for a large footprint (over 2500+- sq ft). Sealing the tub shower areas are a part of the job to assist the system in achieving its potential. Thanks for your question, Andrew.
Hi AG i have a few videos in my library about French/ perimeter drains. I’ve had good luck with conventional fans with the right placement. Getting ready to release another one in a few days.
Hello thank you for your videos. I have a 3” pvc with an amg maverick averaging 3.5’pci/L. Do you think the levels will improve if I upgrade the pvc to a 4”?
Hi Medic7000. If you are willing to go to the trouble AND have the wherewithal to change out all of your pipe, perhaps I would start by adding a 2nd suction point onto the system. (Convert that part to 4" if you wish.) When you do that, it will give you an opportunity to re-work the original suction pit as well. Assuming there is gravel under your slab and you are not experiencing suction loss, that might get you to lower levels. 😀
Hi SnG. Yes you can, if necessary. I try my best to tie multiple zones to 1 fan. I have installed 2 separate systems on 1 home on a hand full of occasions. Testing will help you determine if it's necessary. Really good video, helpful, and interesting home location on the Continental Divide. Thanks
Glad you found it helpful, Robert!
I would have never thought about loss of suction points in a basement slab. Thanks again! :)

So were the high volume fans necessary after sealing the canyons under the tub and shower?

What would you recommend for a basement with French drain?
