Stagecoach Mary is an African American woman who was enslaved and after gaining freedom she became a mail carrier (I think she might’ve been the first black woman to have the kind of route she did). However, she was a mail carrier in what was considered the lawless Wild West. She is famously known to carry a pistol while protecting the mail from bandits, thieves, wolves etc. She was also fighting the unforgiving weather while traversing through Montana. She’s a bit of an icon in the cowboy Western genre, edit: not much is confirmed about the beginning of her life(since she was enslaved) but she seemed to have lived from 1832-1914.
Thank you for sharing this info. So fascinating! Think we need a movie about her ASAP!! Edit: and her name is the same as my baby sis!! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Fields
“Ghost towns” is the term used for abandoned towns. Mostly in the west. There are a lot of them in west Texas. There are also in California and Nevada, remnants of the golf rush. These references are to old westerns especially the spaghetti westerns.
Angie, your story about learning Italian and being in Italy is so appropriate for this pallet! A lot of old west movies were shot in Italy and nicknamed “Spaghetti Westerns.”
@lindacuadros1881 I was hoping someone would add AZ. I used to go mining in alot of those ghost town mines with my dad. Some of the most amazing and beautiful minerals in the world have come out of Arizona mines.
Yea, that explains nothing to people from other countries. When the US was in a population boom, especially across the midwestern part of the country, towns popped up everywhere. Related to the gold rush. Many of those towns did not survive in the long run and became empty ghost towns were the buildings are still standing but there are no people living there.
I NEED this - they may be cooler tones, but they’re still neutrals and not the pinks and blues that have been everywhere lately. I normally wear warm tones but I could wear all of these shades! ❤
Dead Man’s Hand refers to a set of card (2Aces & 2 8’s). This was the hand of cards that wild Bill had when he was shot during a game of five card stud. He was an infamous outlaw in the 1800s.
That second look is 🔥. I mean I loved the first look too but dang, now I really want this palette. I have been wanting to add some not-so-basic blues to my collection.
Skinner is slang/term used in American West where a person drives/control animals. Like horses or mules. For carriages or supply wagon trains. A manual laborer job. Sometimes they would call men by occupations like, "muleskinner." Meaning a person who drives a team of mules. Skinner Saloon would be a place where common men go to a Saloon for food or alcohol.
The new Natasha palette and the Kaleidos release didn’t tempt me at all. This one has my attention! Such beautiful looks! The second one was my favorite 🤩
I adore this colour story. Because I am ghost white with neutral undertone these kind of shades look vibrant and colourful on me! They suit me better than any bright colours. Loves both looks, but my heart beats faster for that green look💚
I already wanted the palette once they revealed the color story, but your two looks made this a MUST. Also, you mentioning how the one shadow looked like pistachio gelato made me wish Nomad would do a gelateria palette! Imagine each shade looking like a specific gelato flavor!
I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS PALETTE!!! I don't know how Noamd does it, but I'm excited for every release. Every. Release. I love this brand, their vision, and their completed products. Great looks! I'm going to recreate them LOL!
I have a sister in law who learned Portuguese for her in-laws, and another SIL who learned Spanish for her husband’s family. It changes so much when you can communicate with your in-laws! Good for you, and thanks for another beautiful palette video.
It's not referring to a specfic place but ghost towns in general. Ghost towns are abandoned mining towns. CA and Nevada have a lot of ghost towns remaining from the gold and silver rushes. Calico is a ghost town once owned by Knott's and now a tourist spot. I love exploring ghost towns. I really want to see Virginia City. It's supposed to be one of the most haunted places in the world.
Honestly, I didn't expect the tones to pull as beautifully as they did at first glance. I thought, it was another cool toned neutral palette like so many recent brand releases. Thanks Angie.
If you want some history, look into the California to Barkerville, bc goldrush. Really insane the lengths people will go to to strike it rich. I would LOVE to travel all of Canada's and the state's ghost towns.
This palette is beautiful! Since I have warm undertones only half of the shades appeal to me, but I still think this is an amazing palette and concept. Also this green looks is stunning
I haven’t bought her brushes, yet. But I know I’m also going to live that brush. I’m so hoping she will release them individually so I can purchase a few of just that brush to go along with the full set. 🤞🏻
No, Angie, you shouldn’t have done a neutral look. They usually look very similar and, I for one, love the colorful Clown channel. These were fabulous ways to use the muted colors in your signature colorful style. Keep ‘em coming. ❤
Good Luck with your Italian. I'm in awe of gifted linguists.❤ Love Duo 🦉. Those dusty blues are beautiful...gives me Iceland palette vibes, my favourite Nomad palette. Xo
Ugh!!! This colour story is sooo GORGEOUS! It’s unique and perfect going into fall…really unique colour story and theme (and it’s hard to be unique now).
I love both looks, but the Blue/Purple look is so beautiful and my favorite. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us on your Saturday off. Now go enjoy the pool and a good book! Have an awesome day!😘💜
This is a really interesting take on a fall/Halloween palette. Not my color story, but I can see how it would be for lots of others. I also love that the collors look like they'll work easily w one another.
I picked up this palette as soon as it was available - I just absolutely love Nomad's whole travel / destination theming, and this one especially is so well thought-out. It makes using the palette just a bit more fun! And the packaging is always on point, as well.
Learning something new is good for the mind and the soul. Watching Angie, cat in lap, rubbing his tummy, he is kneading on me......heaven.😇. Both the looks are so...pretty
Thanks Angelica. Great looks. The palette is based on Ghost Towns of the Wild West in the USA. A Ghost Town is usually a mining town that once flourished in the gold rush days, but eventually failed and decayed. Sometimes, people claim they are haunted. So these are Characters that are famous during those days, or towns that were once flourishing, but now are deserted. Hope that helps.🥰
Wow! I absolutely love ❤️ these colors on you Angie! 😍 They are all just beautiful and give fall vibes without the warmth of oranges and reds. It's so charming. Job well done Nomad 🎉
Those two Aces and Eights derive from a game involving famed lawman “Wild Bill” Hickok. He was shot dead at a poker table more than a century ago holding that hand. Since then the hand has been branded “Dead Man's Hand”. This is a color story that I want. I love the grungy neutrals meets color vibe. I’m so happy that the color story matches the packaging so well.
Yes!! Duolingo is amazing, it helped me so much with my Spanish, it is great !!!! I really appreciate how you walk us through your different techniques. Two really beautiful looks!!
You joyfully not understanding the references is how I feel with many Oden's Eye references until you explain them! The west and western icona like the references in this palette are so baked into the American experience it is so interesting to see you experience them for the first time!
That second look is 🔥, Angie! What a beautiful purple and blue look! I like this palette well enough, but I have several Nomad palettes and don't think I need another one. Thanks so much for sharing!!
I really think this is a neutral palette with just enough colour to play with. The blues and greens are shadowy and cool but can be brightened with the shimmering shades or by building within the same colour family. Your blue on blue snd green on green looks were very colour forward. You could quiet these with the earthier tones and end up with a very natural look. I am very, very interested in this palette. Thanks for showing it’s versatility.
My mom started learning english with duolingo, my dad took formal classs for a couple of months. My mom understands english better than my dad does. She does have a really good streak too. Good for you, learning italian!
In love! Not my favorite Nomad palette but it’s really high up there. That packaging is everything. Will I get it? Of course ❤ I don’t know which look I love more.
When you added that dark blue on the outer corner and through the crease, it looked like a visual of the beginning of a spooky story. "It was a dark, stormy night . . ." Maybe that's just the writer in me, but I literally heard that in my head after you added the dark blue.
Ghost Town is the only destination I've actually been to in the nomad series 😁 I don't think this color story is for me however I didn't see the blues with the purple shimmer pairing as beautifully as they did on your eyes 🤩 love that look!
What beautiful eye looks! Can’t decide which I like better? I think the green. Great job on a wonderful relaxing, entertaining post! I love my Nomad pallets!
i LOVEEEE both of the looks you created, and i think my favorite was the blue one, but i also adored the green look as well!!! this palette is definitely a YES for me!!! 💚💙💚💙
This palette looks very appealing 🤩 That purple shimmer is beautiful, and you can combine it with literally any colour matte in the crease depending on the level of drama you want to achieve 😁👍 I might buy this if it is dirt cheap, otherwise, unfortunately, the colour story is not unique and can be duped by other palettes 10 times over 🤷🏻♀️
Ahhh see, AGAIN you did more fantastic eyeshadow looks. Wow! I don’t know how you choose you color stories. You must have an eye or a special talent for that, because I would never think of putting a purple shimmer on top of a smoky blue eyeshadow look. That’s so good! That blue shade in the crease was an amazing color. It was such a unique blue. You’re making me want this palette 😩😆 But unfortunately I just do not look good in greens. I’ve tried and tried and it just doesn’t look good on my eyes. But the look you did was amazing. I wish I could open up a palette and be able to put looks, and shades together the way you do. I love your videos! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I vote for a movie!!!!
In short; she was a badass....
She was the first African American female postal worker. A movie or tv show should be made about her life. Maybe Greta Gerwig to direct?
Every so often, I get really glad that the comment section exists. This is one of those times ❤
“Ghost towns” is the term used for abandoned towns. Mostly in the west. There are a lot of them in west Texas. There are also in California and Nevada, remnants of the golf rush.
These references are to old westerns especially the spaghetti westerns.
Great explanation!
We still have some in Arizona as well
Now Angie is wondering what a Spaghetti Western is. 😜

@lindacuadros1881 I was hoping someone would add AZ. I used to go mining in alot of those ghost town mines with my dad. Some of the most amazing and beautiful minerals in the world have come out of Arizona mines.
It’s about all the ghost towns across America.
I was gonna say this. 😊
Yea, that explains nothing to people from other countries. When the US was in a population boom, especially across the midwestern part of the country, towns popped up everywhere. Related to the gold rush. Many of those towns did not survive in the long run and became empty ghost towns were the buildings are still standing but there are no people living there.
@@damattice23I didn't think, and I apologize, to further explain what the term "Ghost Town" meant. Thank you for explaining. 😊
That was super helpful even to this California girl 😂😂
@@damattice23 Everyone can Google “America ghost towns.”🤷🏻♀️
I NEED this - they may be cooler tones, but they’re still neutrals and not the pinks and blues that have been everywhere lately. I normally wear warm tones but I could wear all of these shades! ❤

I always considered grungy or earthy greens neutrals and like grungy pinks and berries neutral. Even brownish or more muted oranges.
This palette feels a lot like Oden's Eye Christmas Eve palette. So interesting how this type of color story works for both spooky and wintery!
You are exactly right! I kept trying to picture where I have seen this color story...😊❤
Oh this is much more muted than those colors so I'd say they are not as close when swatched out
@AngelicaNyqvist Thank you! I have the Odens Eye "Christmas Eve" palette and I really want the Nomad as well.
I was thinking of a combo of the 2 newest Oden’s Eye, the rock and gem duo.
This is the kind of color I want in my palettes. Gorgeous, muted, but pops and it seems all of these shades will work beautifully with each other. 😍
That second look is 🔥. I mean I loved the first look too but dang, now I really want this palette. I have been wanting to add some not-so-basic blues to my collection.
I know dead man's hand. It's a poker phrase. It's aces and eights. 😊but such a pretty palette. I love the looks you did! ❤
Angie + green = 💚🥳💚 favorite!!!!
The green look was so pretty 😍
Ok but those two green mattes make your eyes look so gorgeous! 🤩

I absolutely love this color story. I was considering the new natasha palette but I would wait for this.
I already wanted the palette once they revealed the color story, but your two looks made this a MUST. Also, you mentioning how the one shadow looked like pistachio gelato made me wish Nomad would do a gelateria palette! Imagine each shade looking like a specific gelato flavor!
Cool idea 👍 I don't think they did Italy yet? 🤔
I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS PALETTE!!! I don't know how Noamd does it, but I'm excited for every release. Every. Release. I love this brand, their vision, and their completed products. Great looks! I'm going to recreate them LOL!

yay!! still having my coffee🎉

Definitely getting this one! I love the grungy jewel tones and cover,
The packaging looks stunning 😍
The way you described that "expensive" blue just cracked me up, I can't deny though it was very accurate😂

7:48 I am obsessed with this color combo and also that is 💯 my FAVE brush of the bundle

that first look absolutely slays like greys without being grey
Calamity Jane was a cowgirl who was a sharpshooter who showed off her skills at rodeo circuits.
Beautiful palette on you Angie!! 😊💜💜💜
Ugh!!! This colour story is sooo GORGEOUS! It’s unique and perfect going into fall…really unique colour story and theme (and it’s hard to be unique now).
I honestly love this 😍 It feels a bit like a mix of the latest Odens eye release
I love both looks, but the Blue/Purple look is so beautiful and my favorite. Thank you for taking the time to share this with us on your Saturday off. Now go enjoy the pool and a good book! Have an awesome day!😘💜
Watched this over on Instagram! Beautiful colors and will be purchasing this! ❤😊❤😊
This is a really interesting take on a fall/Halloween palette. Not my color story, but I can see how it would be for lots of others. I also love that the collors look like they'll work easily w one another.

You look especially stunning in the first look. It might be that green shirt with your skin tone, but the whole look was popping.

What a stunning green look!!!!! Actually, both stunning. ❤❤❤
I want this I love ghost towns
I wasn't interested in this palette until you put that first blue on in the second look. That color is to-die-for and now I think I need the palette.
That 2nd look was GORGEOUS 😊😊😊😊
Wow! I absolutely love ❤️ these colors on you Angie! 😍 They are all just beautiful and give fall vibes without the warmth of oranges and reds. It's so charming. Job well done Nomad 🎉

It's good to see you so excited about learning Italian I know you will pick it up quickly
Happy Saturday Angie!! Stunning lip color, looks great on you!! I'm excited for this palette for sure and to hear your thoughts! 😊💚
Yes!! Duolingo is amazing, it helped me so much with my Spanish, it is great !!!! I really appreciate how you walk us through your different techniques. Two really beautiful looks!!
Angie the looks you made, paired with your clothes, hair & accessories was straight fire. Beautiful.
I hope you have lots of fun learning these American folk stories, all of them 100% true! 😊
That green shirt is beautiful on you! I feel like that particular shade of green is your color!❤
I'm OBSESSED with the second look!!!
Holy cow that first look is gorgeous on you!! All of the colors are perfect for you.
Can we just take a moment for this lip combo! Absolutely gorgeous 💋
I’m normally not down with Halloween themed anything but these shades are just up my street: colorful but in a soft way.
I feel like Nomad makes palettes specifically to make me want to buy them 😂😂 I love this one a ton!!!
Good luck with the Italian! I’m learning Spanish on Duolingo!
I love this. This is my idea of a neutral and colorful pallet. This is the kind of pallet that excites me.
You joyfully not understanding the references is how I feel with many Oden's Eye references until you explain them! The west and western icona like the references in this palette are so baked into the American experience it is so interesting to see you experience them for the first time!
I love that second look! Like screaming at the video, love it!
That second look is 🔥, Angie! What a beautiful purple and blue look! I like this palette well enough, but I have several Nomad palettes and don't think I need another one. Thanks so much for sharing!!

It’s great to have more cool tones choices! The last 2 years have been mostly warm
When you added that dark blue on the outer corner and through the crease, it looked like a visual of the beginning of a spooky story. "It was a dark, stormy night . . ." Maybe that's just the writer in me, but I literally heard that in my head after you added the dark blue.
LOVE both looks! They look super similar to 2 looks I LOVE doing with Colourpop Aurora Struck!
The looks came out so beautiful! I love the freckles! So beautiful 😊
can you do an updated video of your favorite nomad cosmetics pallets?
The green dress and that lip is giving, you are beautiful ❤️
Definitely recommend a tour of West Texas in the fall. Sonora caverns is a must, Marfa, Alpine, McDonald Observatory, Big Bend... etc.
Those blues and greens are beautiful!
I love the design and versatility of this palette I want it!
I love both looks you created. This palette is so pretty 😊
Ghost Town is the only destination I've actually been to in the nomad series 😁 I don't think this color story is for me however I didn't see the blues with the purple shimmer pairing as beautifully as they did on your eyes 🤩 love that look!
Hi Angelica! I like your approach to the shades you chose and enjoyed seeing your artistry with this palette! TFS!! xoxo
These colours look awesome on you! Thanks for the review!
What beautiful eye looks! Can’t decide which I like better? I think the green. Great job on a wonderful relaxing, entertaining post! I love my Nomad pallets!
That second look is so exspensive looking
That lip is BEAUTIFUL!!
green is definitely your color and the lipstick is stunning on u. great look!
I never expect you to use the neutrals😂
Both looks are very Angie-esq…beautiful 😍😍😍
i LOVEEEE both of the looks you created, and i think my favorite was the blue one, but i also adored the green look as well!!! this palette is definitely a YES for me!!! 💚💙💚💙
I loved both looks but Green is my favorite ❤❤ gorgeous as usual. I love Nomad. I’m going to have to get that one too!
I didnt like any of the early releases of Nomad, but they are killing it lately. The last 2 or 3 releases are exactly my thing!
This palette looks very appealing 🤩 That purple shimmer is beautiful, and you can combine it with literally any colour matte in the crease depending on the level of drama you want to achieve 😁👍 I might buy this if it is dirt cheap, otherwise, unfortunately, the colour story is not unique and can be duped by other palettes 10 times over 🤷🏻♀️
Love the layout of the palette.
This palette makes me wanna buy it just for the shade names alone - good job Nomad!!!!!
You make everything look fabulous! I love the looks!
I loved the second look!🤩💙💜
