Please watch through this video to see how blacksmith and his striker turn an old rusty truck axle into a pipe tomahawk.
This blacksmith never made any tomahawk before because Cambodian people never use it. He makes it and he just finds out that it is very easy and comfortable to use. The tool turns out very nice and the quality is great.
Please watch and subscribe if you want to watch more videos from my channel.

This isn't a pipe tomahawk, it would be considered a hammer poll tomahawk. A pipe tomahawk has a hole drilled into the face of the hammer poll and a hole Diller all the way through the long axis of the handle so that you can smoke tobacco with it. But, really nice job. This is a beautiful piece of craftsmanship.

Technically not a pipe tomahawk (as traditionally you could smoke the pipe and use it as a tomahawk too. It was a spiritual item for Native Americans). So, although it looks like one, the pipe bit will function as a hammer. Beautifully made though. ATB.

I like that he used the modern method of attaching the head to the top and fixing it with a wedge. (Instead of the historic method of threading a tapered handle through the eye butt-end first, and friction fitting it without any wedges.)
The historic method is obnoxious and tends to come loose at the most annoying of times. This way you get the looks of a hammer-poll tomahawk, but with the practicality of a modern hatchet. :)
