I don’t understand what people expect - we have a squad that can’t rotate against a team that made 9 changes in the league cup. We could have parked the bus and maybe lost 2-0 but how is that any better? In the word of Bill Nicholson “it’s better to fail aiming high than succeed aiming low” that’s exactly what Ange is doing.
Exactly my point - would parking the bus have even got us a draw? Previous managers playing turtle and hoping to counter with Kane+Son, we usually always got broken down and I got tired of watching us give the ball away and conceding late. Esp when Dragusin is not competitive in the air right now, reminds me of fielding Dier.

@@juancarlostorreslobelo8858 Isn't a draw better than getting 6 goals stuck past you, and it could have been 10? Oh, wait! They won the "We Scored 3 Against Liverpool" trophy, so it is better than a draw.
It’s not like other managers change their style of play. Look at pep when he has loads of injuries. He does the same thing. It’s what they train every day and changing it up would cause more issues than it would solve
To be fair to Ange, most other teams in this situation would have lost 4/6-0 instead of 6-3, if they had adopted a more conservative strategy. Whilst I think Ange's tactics are overly extreme and naive in some respects, I would have to say the result looks worse than it actually is. And of course the injury situation at Spurs is horrendous. Spurs will just have to soldier on.
For the people who keep asking why Ange doesn’t change I’ll try to break it down. The approach with Mourinho and Conte was to try and compete to win the league immediately. Obviously that strategy failed. Why did it fail? If Spurs are going for it immediately that requires buying players with at least a few years of professional experience. Problem is with Spurs budget at that age range they’re not able to compete with the types of players that clubs like City are buying. So instead Ange is spending that same money on younger players who have a higher ceiling but need time to develop. So we can buy Mickey Van de Ven for £35M but had we waited a couple years he would’ve been £70M and out of our price range. Same goes for Wilson, Bergvall, Gray, Johnson, etc. Ange’s plan is to buy all these young guys, throw them into the fire to develop them as quickly as possible, and then by year four or so they’ll have a couple years they’ll all be entering their prime together having mastered Ange’s system together. At that point, as Ange has repeatedly said, you can start buying more experienced players. So instead of spending £100M+ on Bergvall, Gray, and Odebert you can do what Arsenal did and spend that same money on a superstar like Declan Rice. That’s when you have a team that can compete in any competition every single year for many years to come. If Ange were to change the system to avoid short term pain today he’d be tossing away this invaluable time to develop all this young talent into his system. If your complaints are that rather than go through the adversity today you’d rather just consistently be fighting for top 4 then fine, Ange isn’t the manager for you and you’d be better off with somebody like Nuno. But if you actually want to see Spurs challenging to win the league and Champions League this is the process that you need to go through - it’s unavoidable. If you sack Ange it’s not like you can just hire a different manager and you’ll start winning immediately. He’d then need to start building it into his own squad and would have to do so with guys like Romero and Porro and Van de Ven requesting a transfer. All the players are behind Ange because they know if they stay on this path they’ll accomplish at Spurs something most neutrals don’t think is possible. Just think of how good they’ll be once they’re more developed. Van de Ven, Bergvall, Johnson, Gray, etc. could all easily be valued at £60M+ each. There’s no way Levy would EVER spend that much to acquire experienced players of that caliber at each position. So Ange bought young and cheap, is developing them, and already when everybody is healthy they can beat any team in the world on their day. Remember, it took Arteta four yeara to crack top 4. This is still relatively early in the process, they’re playing every three days, and half the fucking squad is injured or suspended. Show patience now and you’ll be rewarded. You can’t keep sacking managers over and over and over again and expect a different result. You sack Ange and Potter or Gattuso or whoever the fuck they hire will be sacked less than a year later. Guaranteed. We can’t keep giving up at the first sign of adversity. GIVE ANGE TIME YOU DUMB CUNTS!
There is no guarantee giving him time will improve our results. It will be hard to get quality players sitting at 11th and we may lose players. He doesn’t seem to be interested in learning or adapting. I would like to see his style succeed but without tweaks I can’t see it at this level. Look at Brendan Rodgers in Europe a few tweaks to Celtic and much better results than Ange.
They played the best side in the World in great form with a 2nd choice team and put 3 past them. If Ange has a full squad the team would do better. Less fatigue, more experience etc.. They had a crack and never gave up. 5 -1 down and they had a moment to come back. That is what a good coach can do under the circumstances.
Learning or adapting what? If you focus on some areas you lose in others. If we play defensively we can offer no threat and still concede just as many goals
That was our 2nd choice team? Klopp and Pep talked about how much they learned playing against each other Id be very surprised if a manager could come to the elite level and not need to learn and adapt their style.
The sign of a good coach\manager is one who can adapt and change tactics based on the situation at hand. Prime Example Nuno Espírito Santo changed his formation and players yesterday based on his team playing Brentford, they won 2-0. I don't know any manager in any sport that does not change strategy or tactics based on opposition!! This will be Ange's download fall. However, the squad needs to get healthy and we still need better depth. Too many inexperienced players if Ange refuses to change.
Isn’t one the many aspects of the game decision making? When to track runs? When to cover space? Have we all been imaging this for the few hundred years? Why is it so controversial for him to say that sometimes the players made the wrong decisions and didn’t mange situations well? That’s not throwing them under the bus, it’s just a basic observation they’ll be fine with. And if you actually *want* and are *instructing* your players to make the decisions we’re seeing, how on earth can you not expect a reporter or fans to question such tactics that are giving away chances and goals like Christmas presents? Is this just a kick about with his mates or something? Some either serious denial or gaslighting going on with this man.
Won't change, can't change. Back to where we were before Martin Jol and getting worse. All the progress this club has made, back to square one. And he did it this quickly.
Don’t understand why ange is upset with the loss. Guy literally has only one way of playing. We can’t defend set pieces of crosses because defending isn’t in his plans. This guy need to go
@@ciarandallas165 I don't think u do. Hes used an 18 year old creative midfielder at centre half as a scape goat. He stands on the touchline not moving, other managers are guiding certain players through the game especially when getting battered most game.
Ok I hate to be in this position again. I've predicted the sacking of every spurs manager in my lifetiime and now I have to relucntantly do it again, Ange ain't good enough for the Premiership, he is a one trick pony, there are some fantastic other managers in the premiership working with far less resources than Ange. He ain't good enough at this level, he's gone soon. Sorry to announce the bad news. 11th in the league at Christmas, we deserve better.
Such a simplistic argument. Who exactly is doing better with fewer resources and how long is that being maintained? It's fine for some middle tier club to go on a run but it won't last against the best squads. Every time someone says "other managers doing better with less" I remind them of Graham Potter or Nuno at Spurs.
@ haha, Nuno for one is doing better at Forest right now and may prove a point against us in a few days. Ange hasn't accomplished a run since his first 10 games either, so it's not as if he set a standard in the first place. We were challenging for the title in Poch's second season.
The Carabao Cup is gone if the guy still holds on his style , whatever that is , its not entertaining 1-5 , it‘s not consistent, Mourinho and Conte would already have received the sack for what we have seen this season
I think thats a very short term view of things and perhaps you need to look at the bigger picture. We have to be prepared to go through some pain to get to where we want to be and trust me if we keep Ange and back him, we will get there.
Sure, we may be patient and w/off this season, but for what? Last season the guy said not enough rotation cause of non-European football and the out of the Carabao Cup. This season the guy says it s hard to play so many games……. I can‘t believe people can trust in something like this
I dont understand why when we have so many players out and tired...he would play the same high risk football...seems careless Full strength squad..ok...7 or so players out, including three of our 1st choice defenders....not ok
Because if they play low risk football they could lose every game in the current circumstances. Just sitting in front of your box doesnt guarantee a win we know that from having conte
I highly doubt we would have beat united if we didnt try to offer something to think about in their defence and just let them attack us wave after wave for almost half the game
A severely depleted Tottenham lose to the top team...cue the calls for coach to be sacked...cue the armchair experts telling us why we lost to Liverpool......cue the same old BS from idiots that don't understand anything about the reality of the game. We lost by 3 goals. I expeted we would lose by 2 or 3. FFS, give it a rest.
Brighton Bournemouth Ipswich palace. Let’s go further back, last twice to wolves last season. Looking great. Must have been injuries, definitely not the tactics. God ange is unquestionable.
Levy needs to look at himself in the mirror and realise what he is doing, is not working, if he thought of the club and fans then he should walk away, enough is enough, WE WANT OUR TOTTENHAM BACK, need at least 5,6 players to start challenging, give ange what he wants, got rid of 12+ players last summer, only 5,6 coming in, it clearly has come back to haunt us, LEVY OUT LEVY OUT LEVY OUT
You're missing about 10 players mate. How many players in the current squad has he actually bought? Most of them aren't even his players. You need a reality check bro
Three nil up against United was a chance to shut up shop, being on some kids and rest some players. Complaining of tiredness today when a solution was available last Thursday. Beaten for four headers leading to the first three goals for Luverpool. Can you fix that Ange?
Why does he say stuff like this. Just say they were the better team and we will look at ways of adapting and improving. Saying things like this makes him seem immature. Also the man u win doesn't seem as impressive now
He says these things because it’s what he believes. He’s not going to look at ways of adapting and improving, he plays a certain way and he asked his teams to play a certain way and that’s the way he sees it. Not everyone will like it, But we need to suck it up and ride it out. If he pulls it off, we willbe incredible.
@benhirst3819 even with our strongest 11 we still failed. The high line is suicide and makes us get to many injuries. We beat a useless man u team, he isn't a tactical genius. We have a decent team with decent youngsters, no worse then half the team in the league. Spence has done really well since coming in and to think the only reason why he even had a chance is because the amount of injuries we've had
You said you copied Pep. Look how Pep is doing now. High line strategy doesn't work anymore in modern football. Player injuires are consequences from this strategy. Modern football has too many matches for players to cover that strategy. Today we lost 3-6 and with full squad we might have lost 3-5. Backing up a manager for a long period of time is fine but backing up an outdated strategy is an abysmal thing to do. Ange u r a decent manager only if u can change a bit of ur strategy.
Time to fire Ange and hire Ten Hag or Southgate. They’ll do heaps better. Tottenham needs a coach who’ll play for 1-0 results. This Ange guy is a joker by scoring too many goals
Stick with it ang bad day today some of youngsters are coming on i love Tottenham we need to play these kids now biss ain't good porrro ain't good love sonny but he can't beat his man anymore wasted on wing spence been brilliant out of position put him on the right gray in the middle with sarr you know it makes sense this time next year we be millionaires
He just ran out of tactical idea he don't have adjustments he just has to go . No point of holding him It will be same result because lack of his tactical management I'm already sick of his style Voice also he is stubborn

Genuinely what did people expect? Where we had only 1 one member of our back 4 + GK?
COYS. In Ange we trust. How many other teams have scored 3 goals? Liverpool are in form and our young, makeshift defense did what they could
There is no guarantee giving him time will improve our results.
No guarantee in life mate
I'll say it again i cant here the fkin questions.. Am i the only 1 ?? Whats the point
Go away. Go support Arsenal.
Disagree
You're entitled your opinion.
I for one couldn't disagree with you more if I tried.
@@michael1882yt "your're entitled to your opinion"
Thanks for clearing that up. Coming from you that means a lot.
Don’t understand why ange is upset with the loss. Guy literally has only one way of playing. We can’t defend set pieces of crosses because defending isn’t in his plans. This guy need to go
3rd best defense in the prem going into this game with 1 fit CB in the squad.
You know nothing you turnip.
@@ciarandallas165 I don't think u do. Hes used an 18 year old creative midfielder at centre half as a scape goat. He stands on the touchline not moving, other managers are guiding certain players through the game especially when getting battered most game.
We knight you Sir Ange, Bielsa, Ossie Postecoglue
I ange we thrust
Ok I hate to be in this position again. I've predicted the sacking of every spurs manager in my lifetiime and now I have to relucntantly do it again, Ange ain't good enough for the Premiership, he is a one trick pony, there are some fantastic other managers in the premiership working with far less resources than Ange.
He ain't good enough at this level, he's gone soon. Sorry to announce the bad news. 11th in the league at Christmas, we deserve better.
Yawn.
Absolute nonsense.
Ok Nostradamus
The Carabao Cup is gone if the guy still holds on his style , whatever that is , its not entertaining 1-5 , it‘s not consistent, Mourinho and Conte would already have received the sack for what we have seen this season
Err they basically were sacked in a similar amount of time but for vastly different strategies.
I can‘t believe people can trust in something like this
He really doesn't care about the club.
terrible comment
And you really don't care about reality.
@@keithwillis520711th place reality. Lost more than he’s won in the last 40 reality.
@thompson
And how many of those losses have been in an unpredictable injury crisis? Id wager at least 70% without even looking at stats
Ange only interested in advancing his way even to the detriment of the club. But he ended up destroying both.
Why do Spurs have so many injuries? As good as Van der Ven is ,he hardly ever plays because of injury.
They are injured due to the tactics he will always have the same injuries due to how we play
Probably because you have a huge man always having to turn on the spot and sprint because of the tactics. Hes injury prone
Angeball injures players. Lotta hamstring issues from non stop sprinting & turning
I dont understand why when we have so many players out and tired...he would play the same high risk football...seems careless
Full strength squad..ok...7 or so players out, including three of our 1st choice defenders....not ok
Because if they play low risk football they could lose every game in the current circumstances. Just sitting in front of your box doesnt guarantee a win we know that from having conte
I highly doubt we would have beat united if we didnt try to offer something to think about in their defence and just let them attack us wave after wave for almost half the game
So what would you rather we do and would have made a difference?
A severely depleted Tottenham lose to the top team...cue the calls for coach to be sacked...cue the armchair experts telling us why we lost to Liverpool......cue the same old BS from idiots that don't understand anything about the reality of the game. We lost by 3 goals. I expeted we would lose by 2 or 3. FFS, give it a rest.
We had bad results even without injuries!!! Excuses !!!
@@jacklegros6614sounds like you should be the manager.
Brighton Bournemouth Ipswich palace. Let’s go further back, last twice to wolves last season. Looking great. Must have been injuries, definitely not the tactics. God ange is unquestionable.
Levy needs to look at himself in the mirror and realise what he is doing, is not working, if he thought of the club and fans then he should walk away, enough is enough, WE WANT OUR TOTTENHAM BACK, need at least 5,6 players to start challenging, give ange what he wants, got rid of 12+ players last summer, only 5,6 coming in, it clearly has come back to haunt us, LEVY OUT LEVY OUT LEVY OUT
No idea, no tactics, no b plan, no class, waste of time! Get rid! #angeout #levyout
You out.
Yawn
He said this:ı will keep going to lose
Will be sacked soon.
You hope?
@@keithwillis5207yes
Awful decision if true
Sorry, but if you're not going to change when we are getting bummed up the A then you deserve to get sacked.
Thanks genius.
Then what. New coach. Bounce. Dip. Sack. Spurs cycle.
Well he got hired on his terms, so he shouldn't be sacked for them. I'm guessing you're one of the "don't understand" ones.
Would a 2-1 or 3-1 loss have been acceptable? Spurs have a terrible record against Liverpool.
Masonball is starting to look an attractive option.
I’m trying to be reasonable in my reply but losing like this is a disgrace to THFC -
Why is it?
40% of our squad is unavailable. 75% of our centrebacks gone
soooo much better to lose by one goal right!
@@leesaunders8407 I agree , plus we’re playing top of the table and the only team showing any real consistency so far this season 👍
Arrogant to the core
Said that right from the beginning
You said you copied Pep. Look how Pep is doing now. High line strategy doesn't work anymore in modern football. Player injuires are consequences from this strategy. Modern football has too many matches for players to cover that strategy. Today we lost 3-6 and with full squad we might have lost 3-5. Backing up a manager for a long period of time is fine but backing up an outdated strategy is an abysmal thing to do. Ange u r a decent manager only if u can change a bit of ur strategy.
You seriously claiming that being beaten by 1 less goal is a massive W ? 😂
Time to fire Ange and hire Ten Hag or Southgate. They’ll do heaps better. Tottenham needs a coach who’ll play for 1-0 results. This Ange guy is a joker by scoring too many goals
😂😂😂
Ten Hag??? after Mourinho, Conte hahaha looks like Tottenham fans want their team to become another Man U but without any prior success!
Same story, same s#!+. All or nothing, kamikaze football. Ange’s defense is horrible.
He just ran out of tactical idea he don't have adjustments he just has to go . No point of holding him
It will be same result because lack of his tactical management
I'm already sick of his style
Voice also he is stubborn
