Jacob Bishop Thanks again for taking the time to make it and good luck to you as well. I'll definitely be viewing some other videos over the new few days pre-midterm on Friday :)
Nice. All 46 linear algebra videos completed in one day -- another great review / refresher. I took LA about 30 years ago, so not completely new to me. Thanks Jacob. Off to Part 5.....
Jacob why is the method not accurate? Aren't you just rearranging equations? Also why is it essential that we can use this method only for diagonally dominant elements?
Are we ignoring the fact that his name is "jacobi-shop" 😂
Great video and great explanation Jacob. Thanks from a non-affiliated university student that surfed across your video by random luck.
Thanks for the comment. I'm glad you found it useful. Good luck.

Very wonderful explanation of two ideas summarised at once... thanks!!
Thanks for taking the time to make and put out these videos!
I've been following along, but what happened to playlist 4?
You say Gauss-Seidel converges faster, but what about stability? Does it mean the Jacobi iteration is more stable, or do they have the same stability?
Hey Bishop,
Where can I find the playlist of the next part i.e. part 4. Please let me know, it will be of great help.
Hello, can I ask... given the same initial iterate, if the Jacobi method converges, will the Gauss-Seidel method also converge? And is it vice-versa?
thanks got the difference between the two easily with the help of your video
Awesome video man
Thank you! But how can I find successive substitution ?
This is awesome, thank you for posting
Thank you
hmm but what was epsilon sub s?

Very good explanation, thank you.
good job. good explenation. thank you.
good explanation .... thanks alot
Hei guys, how i can find epsilon s?
It is chosen or defined to serve as the stopping criteria. Smaller epsilon s will run longer and hopefully be more accurate.
thannnk youuu mann
10x
hey M alazme first of all u need to clear the the concept over here and watch it again
supply xam
hi . hope we could be friends?
Yeah we can
