The term "Samadhi" is a term in Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, and Yoga, described as being "a state of intense concentration through meditation".
To put this term on something like the Samadhi Fire is a bit weird right? An unstable and near uncontrollable power that can wipe out a universe in mere seconds. Seems like anything but samadhi. Well, about that...
Red Son has brought up the fact that meditation is the only way to control powers like his and Mei's fire. And how does Mei eventually control her powers? Meditation. Hours of meditation as she was trapped within the Lady Bone Demon's mech, keeping the fire contained within herself, until eventually, in the most dire of circumstances, she unlocks it. The true power of the Samadhi Fire.
In a sense, Mei has now gained the title of the Samadhi Fire from the original Journey to the West. The true fire of samadhi. True power attained through meditation (and a bit of help from Red Son)
Don't forget that in the original Journey to the West novel, Red Boy had developed True Samādhi Fire (三昧眞火, Pinyin: Sānmèi-zhēnhuǒ), which enables him to shoot fire inextinguishable by water and smoke from his eyes, nostrils, and mouth.

Monkey kid has more emotione that recent ninjago. I mean mk has some trauma like every episode while Lloyd is just like "now I have oni powers, I hate it. " ANYWAY *gets random dragons*.

I love how her powers effect her emotions before it starts. It’s amazing how every single thing she does with her power gains in trust and perspective. I love female characters with fire powers :)

When she tried to contain the fire, she was like Wildfire from Ninjago: Dragon Rising, but with a darker fire and had a deeper dragon temper.
As if Wildfire had darker flames like the Samadhi Fire.

I looked up samadhi fire after seeing it appear in several manhwa. Gotta say, I may not have found what I was looking for, but this was really cool. I'm surprised to see such well animated scenes in what I imagine is a kids show. 5stars~

I assumed that there would be 5 Samadhi rings. Cause I’m the book, Guanyin used 5 rings similar to Wukong’s old crown on Red Son/Boy to restrain him from using the Samadhi Fire. Would be cool if they had to find one more ring before going to the lantern city
