It's always funny to listen to people who pretty much always used iPhones in their life discovering the Android's capabilities and level of customization this OS can bring you. All of the things described in the video are so trivial for me, who used Android for as long as it existed, which is why I was baffled for example to discover that on iOS, you can't multitask using split screen. I can't believe I've heard someone tell me once iOS is more suited than Android for multitasking... Like come on, isn't the user experience the things that Apple value the most? I would never have bet on Android beating Apple/iOS on this one. So to all iPhone users: no, customization on Android isn't just a fancy words to talk about being able to change ever so slightly the look of your home screen and make it shiny. It's a whole philosophy which allows its users to really own their device, let them change it for their specific use and learn in the process how to use their phone to make it adapted for every single one of them, transforming they into literal power users eventually.
I found Nova a few years (and devices) back. It gave me everything I wanted, so I standardised on it, and have installed it on every device (phone and tablet) since. I don't have to worry about updates and new manufacturer overlays changing how I want to use my device :) Along with Llama, which I use to put my phone on silent for a period of time and then switch back, this makes my device easy to use quickly.
Great video, even for an experienced android user. I personally love fingerprint reader in the screen besides the features in your video and of course the three way mute slider on my Oneplus 10 pro that makes it not vibrating when in meeting 😊
The flashing Google mic is only on pixel phones! It’s their Google assistant typing. Keyboards I change from time to time but for now that’s using the app called keys cafe 👍🏼
I use a galaxy s22 ultra but I always end up going back to my iPhone because it’s a more polished experience and the usual iMessage, FaceTime, and airdrop. It’s funny because most UA-camrs I have seen that say they switched are wearing an Apple Watch which tells me they did not. I love android, there’s tons of amazing, productive things you can do but I would have to carry two phones, so I always end up just putting my sim back on my iPhone 13 which just works
That’s the key thing really. Most UA-camrs carry two phones. I enjoy and prefer Android phones, but I prefer the Apple Watch. I carry both now so I can experience both, have an opinion on both and make videos about both sides of the platform 😀

Heads up, Nova launcher was bought by an analytics company recently. I used to use it all the time, but after that happened I found something else.
Didn’t know that, although I’m glad I chose not to use it earlier (just thought it felt unpolished in comparison to Hyperion (which I use))

The last iPhone I had was the 4S. It's been Andiord all the way since then.

One big feature stopping me from daily using an android phone is AirPlay. I love the HomePod 2 and I use Sonos speakers.

@@PeteMatheson that's a reasonable amount. I had feared that since it run over the existing one UI, it would consume more.
