I'm just starting to familiarize myself with Docker and related technologies. Going to start experimenting with deploying containers during this spring. This video is well timed. KASM seems like a very helpful option. Thank you very much.
I needed to build a new PC as my previous one gave up, so please accept my sincere enthusiasm for all the great videos I missed in the mean time. Many Thanks D.J..
I've been running it since 1.09. Its been fun to test and run with. I followed the guide on setting up servers and RDP and it just did not work at all for more. I didn't resolve that, it could be 'things' outside of KASM like the host FW or similar. I hope to resolve it at some point because getting that setup and working would take this to next level. They are doing a great job!
Thanks @AdmV0rl0n, I plan to do a more indepth video of 1.12.0, this is just a what's new video. I havent tried the "arbitrary server" option just yet, I did get the persistent file system working, and I also noticed a couple of things. If install ingon Ubuntu Server do not check the docker option during install, Canonical installs a snap package based docker image which isnt supported, I spent about an hour trying to clean it off, but finally resorted to a reinstall of Ubuntu Server to fix the partial install. I was surprised to hear audio, I think I remember having an issue with that on 1.10, not always working. I want to try out loading a couple of games as well, but so far the rest of it seems to work great.
@@CyberGizmo Hit me up if you want to compare/test/poke around! I noted that KALI 1.12 doesn't work for me and I went back to 1.11 for that docker/build! I can pass you a discord thing if wanted! Cheers!
Ive only seen a bit about Kasm, and the person was primarily using it to create atomized VM application windows for things such as browsing. Would you be able to give a description of how this solution compares to a fully realized option such as qubes , blend , or vanilla? Am i just off base about the primary utility of Kasm? Thank you
I've tried all of those browsers except Edge. And based on my experience with Windows Explorer I'm going to try Edge just as soon as all other browsers vanish from the Earth.

@@CyberGizmo Yes Thanks D.J.. Micro ATX, Ryzen 5 5600g based small tower. It is great and is not power hungry too.
Thanks, @DJ
Great again, as always.
I presume iSCSI share mght be good as well.
I would think so as long as you can mount the file system should work

That would be an interesting comparison, will consider it and thanks for the suggestion!
