BB & 2ne1 were reaching heights back then and having tours even without socmed or the UA-cam era before Wondergirls on American Show you have watched. Plus YG artists have been the icebreaker among Kpop - from hiphop roots to incorporating EDM into songs, having BB produce on their own and not rely solely on producers from the west, or domestically; high budget videos at that time (2ne1), world tours, etc. If they weren’t ahead of their time, Kpop mainstream would still be the same Korean music wave probably - trot, ballads, pop, etc. It’s just Big 3 were competitive with each other that it advanced into more diversity when BB emerged.

@@myktek im a vip before im an army or a shawol or a blackjack or a soshi or a moomoo and i cant deny how bigbang will always be legends but you cant deny bts is the first kpop group who make it in the mainstream media and majority of household name outside of asia. Like yes, bigbang attends awards in US way before BTS but it was not as sensational as when BTS did. Other kpop groups also have a lot of fanbase outside of asia but they did not make it mainstream. Im not saying one is better than the other but give credits where it's due. Cheers

Today's UA-cam uses much more advanced algorithms to recommend users videos that they'd probably be interested in. Back in the day, before you would watch a Bigbang MV on UA-cam, you'd have to hear about it from some other source first. A friend, Korean TV shows (no subtitles), the radio if you lived in Asia, etc. Of course no Instagram or TikTok to help them promote songs before they even released.
I totally agree!!! I can’t imagine how they’re gonna be if they have all the SNS (social media) before. I miss them!! Even 2ne1!! The OG KINGS AND QUEENS! I miss their playful interactions and friendship as well!
Big Bang are legends. They don’t need crazy choreo, their stage presence is enough for people to go crazy and sing along with them.

I’ve been VIP for 14 years now. I won’t ever get over them. Their songs is part of my childhood memories. Even my siblings whos not kpop fans know their songs since i played it most of the time. Everytime i hear their songs its always seems like its the first time im hearing it. Brings back good memories for me.

In my opinion bigbang's stage presence and connection with the audience and camera is unmatched. They're a group that doesn't care about crazy choreography or synchronized dancing (note: mad respect for other groups that do that) even though they are all great dancers but their main focus is definitely to have have fun on stage and show their individual personalities. I really love that

I honestly love their songs. It still remain iconic even if the years passed by. You can't help but sing to their song whenever you hear it. Wish they could have a comeback soon.
BIGBANG are just in a a league of their own, no one has topped them and I don't think anyone ever would. Also I'm quite surprised they haven't included Bang Bang Bang...that to me screams BIGBANG and it was iconic and one of their biggest hits.

They choose to do it this way then be ready to accept criticism same as if they choose to include Seungri as what other UA-camr did. Blurring out Seungri is a bad move. Not sure if I can support this video. That's a thumbs down for me. You simply can't live off of the "guilty until proven innocent" lifestyle because it make you seem very petty and judgmental. I feel horrible that even UA-cam channels are throwing him under the bus. He needs fans to support him during this difficult time, not abandon him and pretend he never existed. Assuming one way or another without all the facts, or blurring him out simply because of controversy, is not a reasonable response. He is a founding member of BIGBANG. Even if that doesn't earn him the benefit of the doubt, he still deserves justice and recognition for his contribution to the group.
i only stan BIGBANG for so long that it’s kind of a struggle to set my expectations to new group i’m staning. different agencies different way of handling their idols i guess. while BIGBANG gets to produce their entire album the group i stan right now is lucky enough to take part in writing for their song
