Star Rail is so much more sassy, sarcastic and funny than genshin when it comes to the written interactions (the unvoiced ones, like the trashcans and all) it's incredible

Like even games like genshin are gonna have an extremely long story at some point, it would be a weird excuse to dislike/not play a game because of that.

About the starter character/weakness break stuff: You should be able to get Qingque for free as well from the Memory Hall (unlock her the same way you get a free Xiangling from Genshin). Then the only element you'd be missing for free characters will be Imaginary. There's only Welt in game so far with that element so I expect we'll eventually get a free Imaginary character one day just so free-to-play players get access to all possible elements. In the end, I figure you'll do what you feel comfortable doing!

28:08 is such a mood moment. I also have the starters as my team and I had Serval too right when most of the monsters were fragmentum ones and needed fire or quantum. And then I got Seele. Right around time when we went to fight robots who needed? That's right! Fire or Lighting!
Since the game seems to always force you to roll Asta on the tutorial warp, I honestly consider her a starter along with the other three. I think every monster until the end of Belobog has at least one weakness to these four.
@@iexistiguess1920 Every character the game gives every player in perpetuity for free is a starter character. They're given to you for a reason. Serval doesn't technically count because she won't be given away anymore after a period of time, but not only does Asta count, but Herta, Qingque, and Natasha as well.

@@effortlessfury I think I’m just basing it off of how we classify Genshin’s starters where everyone almost unanimously agrees the four starters are the traveler, Amber, Kaeya and Lisa since we get them in that order, whereas in Star Rail the order is Stelle, March, Dan Heng, and Asta, as you aren’t able to get to Herta or Qingque until you complete the Simulated Universe or get to a certain level, similar to Xiangling or Collei that require you to beat parts of the Spiral Abyss.

I love that honkai isn't afraid to actually let queer characters exist in canon, especially with the devs really supporting pairings like bronya and seele in both games, its a lot nicer than genshin dodging around everything
I also just really enjoy the character writing in this game, the characters feel more alive and connected with the world than in Genshin

Went for a 90 pull on the standard with some free pulls, managed to get In The Name Of The World. Thought I had lost, when I realized Welt was my only 5 star so I had just gotten a titanic buff for him. This game sometimes lol
Yeah, I get it. My standard banner luck was insane. Gave me a Gepard at 3 pity, then Bronya's signature Light cone at 36 (and I had just Got Bronya from the novice banner) and them Bronya's E1 at 48...
I wish I had Welt of Himeko but honestly not complaining, having E1 Bronya with her signature is kinda nice, and Gepard is basically my best tank (I can't use Fire MC after Gepard hahaha)
Can't believe I hit pity on newbie banner (got Welt) and I'm almost hitting hard pity on standard banner (with 80 free tickets lol), I also hit pity on Seele's banner and lost, I got Clara though, she's apparently very good...

I love the idea of using only starters, as it shows that the game is completeable without having to invest financially. However, since Honkai is much more team-focused than Genshin, how about adjusting this rule to "using only free 4-stars"? You can get 4-star characters of various elements from events, quests and such, so you don't have to pull or pay )
I think this way the idea of clearing the game without gacha is preserved, but you get a bit more flexibility with your teams.

Seele and Bronya are giving couple that argues all the time but love eachother so much
21:26 This is just a thought, but there's a theory that the battle crack relates to Fuli, the Aeon of remembrance- the MC basically is a time-space anomaly and is quite literally causing 'cracks' in Fuli's stored memories (which makes up their crystal body). This moment just reminded me of that, which implies that:
a) Bronya was meant to die but Seele managed to get there in time, causing a crack
b) Bronya almost died, which could've caused another crack (although it hasn't shown to be catastrophic as of now so it's not going to like destroy the universe)
c) Bronya almost getting shot is the foundation for her relationship with Seele, which wasn't meant to happen at this time (or at all)
this is just a theory though, and the noise may have just come from Seele's scythe breaking the bullet or maybe people fighting just makes cracks somehow.

Nah you con brute force through all of the story and open world content without needing any specific elements. And the starting cast has some good synergy and coverage anyway.
