I was glad to see the kid showed some restraint. But sadly the mother forced the kids hand. I wish the kid wouldn't have done it but you can't blame her. The mom fit every definition of the word bi--h. A true Karen.

I agree Amanda, but it look like the father was disrespectful also, and whoever else that other gentleman was, they don't relish the fact that disrespect to others is exposure to their inconsiderate and tasteful manners. I fear for what type of upbringing her daughter is receiving.

She wasn't putting her daughter on the "offense", you were absolutely no threat to them. THEY approached you, got in your space and tried to humiliate you by trying to push you over and kicking you. All they had to do was walk away. Unfortunately she won't stop there, she is totally a bad influence to her children.

Sometimes children imitate their parents in bad examples. Or else they are forced to imitate. I hope these two children grow up and understand this as soon as possible, otherwise life will teach them the hard way.
I hope that experiencing negative feedback from inciting violence will be a lesson learned.

Feel sorry for the kids, their mum's teachings will get them into trouble one day and she'll be dumb enough to wonder why. I was in Tae Kwan Do when I was about the age of the boy who was the first to kick you. The instructor of my class, a multi-level black belt, informed all of us one day (a class ranging in age from 6 to 18), that if he ever found out that we were using what he was teaching us to bully other people, HE would personally kick our ass before kicking us out of his class. What he was teaching us was for defense only.
The little girl's instructor should do just that. Not to the girl, mind you, but to her mother.
I had the same experience with my instructors throughout my life. I hope their instructor sees this video somehow.

That woman is not just a terrible mother but also a terrible person. And the men defending her are absolute trash. They are the type of people who demand others follow rules but believe they themselves can do whatever they want. They showed their true colors.
What’s more disturbing is that she eventually told the boy to stop kicking because she knew it was wrong and then when she didn’t get her way she went on the offense attack.

I'm not only disgusted by the "mother" but the people that were watching this play out are trash too. They had the biggest smiles on their faces--not one of them intervened UNTIL you stood up for yourself. 😠 At least the little girl has a brain, I have high hopes for her future. She was absolutely wrong. Even her daughter was aware of it. ( she was obviously carrying some emotional scares from a earlier personal trauma ). Sad, but not an excuse. Unfortunately people like this will not be taught or learn from a rational male just trying to make a good point. I think you handled the situation well. I don’t see why not. A costume is an extension of your person in my opinion. It’s not like it’s an unattached object sitting there separately. If the costume gets shot, I’d be hit by the bullet. If it gets knocked over, I go down with it. Would’ve been a good lesson for her to learn though!

The little girl actually had more intelligence than the "mother". And that was what the law calls assault & battery which is illegal, except for it was a minor. But the "mother" is still responsible and I see no reason she couldn't be held accountable in a court of law especially with the video. Sorry this kind of thing happens.
All part of the job, unfortunately. Maybe this video and the comments get back to them and they learn how uncool their behavior was.

Uh, press charges. That was assault, even though you're inside, they still attacked and threatened bodily harm. Degenerates is basically what they are. A lot of us have watched too many of your videos, and had so many laughs, but this wasn't funny at all.

Right on. I make people laugh all day doing this, and entertain families and kids and they go away happy with pictures and stories to tell. So when this sort of thing happens, I can’t believe it. She felt like I was there to please her and do what she told me to do. Crazy.
