Uppermost of my concerns are the children , that they are not hungry, eating nutritious diet and loved by the adults and parents, educated , not abused. I grew up hungry , malnourished , beaten daily by my gambler father in the Philippines. Both of my parents were teachers . I would prefer life here in this remote mountain village than the life of beatings and hunger in a town below . Perspectives vary according to life experiences.
