A plausible reason for the street lights being dim is simply the fact that if they were bright, the people that live near would be interrupted by the lights. Especially bad if they wanted to sleep. There is no reason why the nighttime street lights would need to be super bright. They're there only so that you can move from point A to point B without tripping over everything (and to make you more visible when crossing the street), and for that, a dim light is more than enough.

This is pretty typical experience for the first time visitor. Poland is amazing and many times when I’ve brought and hosted people from United States. They were always positively surprised and in some case is shocked. It’s interesting to visit the new European superpower in its early stages of evolution to that spot.

You are welcome here as long as you respect our beliefs and culture (youre the guest afterall). -avoid chain restaurants, 99% of them are 10 times worse than any local, family owned restaurant. -everything that is flashy and clearly appeals to tourists is quite risky in terms of spending your money correctly. most of the time these are tourist traps (like the candy shop).

Yes... Graphitti is the worst problem of polish cities... Beautiful perfectly clean buildings, floors, parks et cetera.... and a graphitti on it. Even when it's small it destroys the perfection
@Jams.life_ I always hated stupid Grafitti made by some random brainrots. Legal graffiti made with a plan by an artist is ok 👌 especially on old communist buildings. But in the old towns...
