Fuck me i cant get over how much of a chonker that last riff is! Thanks for this man ive been hoping someone would post more tabs / playthroughs from this album
Yeah, it is a great album! I have transcribed Parting Soliloquy also but it is on the back burner waiting for my SubZero Rogue VI Baritone to get properly set up. The stock .084 string was to loose for drop C tuning imho.
@@markuslindstrom2775 damn dude you're doing the lords work! Would love to learn Parting Soliloquy, thank you 🙏 And yeah I've wondered how they make it work with such a low tuning and so many long held bends in their songs that can sound sloppy with the wrong tension/ technique etc
Some parts are pretty tricky but with a bit of practice you should be able to do it. Is i probably more of a hassle to get a 30 inch baritone in drop C;-)
I have gotten the same request a bunch of times and the thing is I use two pedals in front of my audio interface, one JHS Double Barrel (to add a bit of overdrive to my signal) and one ten band MXR EQ (cutting lows and highs and boosting the mids pretty aggressive) so my preset on the Gojira will probably not help you all to much. But in I use the middle amp with the middle cab (without tweaking mic placement) and run pretty much all at noon/twelve a clock. I tweak the gain a bit, add or subtract eq depending on the song etc.(On the Neural DSP: Gojira Amp Sim that is). My main goal is to get at guitar tone that cuts through when adding it to the song so it isn't the most pleasing tone on its on imho. Hope this is any help for you!
@@markuslindstrom2775 Thanks for the reply! Do you know what that MXR EQ would be like for an amp sim? My settings on the Omega Granophyre is pretty close to this, i might just mess with the eq options and boost the mids! What Hz did you cut, what did you raise? I could throw the Hexdrive OD thats on nameless in front of everything too. Any fuzz added?
@@markuslindstrom2775 ps, i saw your other vids, and youre a Bosch fan too it appears! You would love my Garden of Earthly Delights canvas and the Vildhjarta Maastaden Under Vatten posters on each side of it that i have in my studio!
@@nickbrown1304 You can use any eq pedal before the amp sim or an eq plug in before the amp sim - I just like to cut bass before hitting the amp to get a bit less mud, i generally take away almost all bass below 100 hz, boost 250-2K 2-6 db and start to cut above 8K. How that affects the tone depends on a lot of things so just experiment and it is not necessary. The overdrive is just to add a small amount of gain on my DI-signal to get a bit of different flavor - not recommended if you want to tweak/or reamp it but I generally like to commit to a sound so I do not have the option to tweak endlessly. And i find boosting the mids a bit helps my guitar cut through better, it would probably not be the tone I used if I would record the guitar on its own. And take all my advice with a big grain of salt - I am no audio engineer and just like to play guitar and fiddle around so there are plenty of people better/more qualified than me in guitar sounds etc.
I use a ten band eq and a JHS Double Barrel before my Neural DSP Gojira Amp sim so the sound is not only the stock plug in. But I mainly use the middle amp with the stock speaker and tweak a bit according to taste.
Great job man , thanks for the tabs ❤️
Thanks!

Sounds great
Thanks!
That low string is thicccccc
Yeah, but still a bit to loose for my taste. Have a .084 on the low C and I’m going to upgrade it to a .105.
To be able to play this you have to practice it *again and again and again!*

Amazing work. Thank you for the tabs! Can i get the preset you used for the tone? That would be fucking incredible to see what you used. Subscribed!
