I’ve heard people say how much more comfortable the frame carries compared to the pack you mentioned. Mystery ranch is notoriously known for how comfortable their frame systems are. And how much weight they can carry.
I'm currently in school for Wildland fire and they issued us the hotshot TL and we carry with everything in it , 50lbs. I gotta adjust my stuff today because during a job yesterday we were dying haha

It states, "that CAL Fire shall personnel a durable NFPA 1977 compliant Load Carrying Protective Equipment system (web gear) with an integrated hydration system. calfireweb.fire.ca.gov/library/handbooks/1700/1728.pdf Cal Spec for our fire packs includes the integrated hydration reservoir and that is the difference in price when purchasing a CAL Spec pack vs., a non-CAL Spec pack. So the only big difference between the two is the hotshot is a little more organized than the LT pack?

Does that mean the price went up or that it has enough reflective material to meet the Cal Trans vis standards ?
