I am so glad the L'Oreal has only a very light coverage. Some vloggers raved about it and I was upset you cannot buy it here in England. My skin has got lots of sun damage, it would not work for me. I think you can get away with most foundations because your skin is blemish free.
Your chickens squawking at the end of your videos always freak out my cat. 😹. As for me, I think of you as the foundation guru-no one I’ve seen analyzes foundation to the extent that you do. I know you prefer more coverage than what you experienced with the L’Oreal and ColorPop, but honestly, at least via YT, your skin looked fabulously natural and when you zoomed in pointing out lack of pores, you looked great. I had never heard of Hourglass cosmetics until I started watching your channel and adore their highlighter and bronzer. I saw in Sephora the other day that Hourglass makes a cream foundation and I picked one up (Ivory for me-neutral). It’s divine! I love how easily it goes on and blends-creamy, smooth, buildable. I personally cannot stand to rub foundation in with my fingers the way you prefer (which is likely the ideal, but it skivves me out), so the cream lets me get decent coverage. Tamara is how I found you. What a generous and kind woman she is.
Tamara is the BEST! Which Hourglass did you get, the one in tube or in the glass bottle? I has tried one in the tube years ago - I think Hyaluronic is in the title...so glad to have turned you on to a new to you brand. Glad you found something that works for you!
I think it looks good, I really like your eyeshadow. I am 62 with normal to dry skin. My problem is finding a foundation that isn't yellow. Well done gives me hope to have a good day playing with my makeup.
I know what you mean. I have the same problem. I'll buy a foundation that looks like a great match and then when I put it on at home, it's wayyy yellow. I've started mixing foundations (don't ask, lol!) in order to get colors and tones closer to my skin color and tone.
This was so fun! It can be so confusing…products that call themselves foundations when they are actually skin tints! The Sephora looked gorgeous on you…I’m so glad you liked it!! I think it’s such a great value! It’s nice to know we are somewhat shade twins ❤️
Thank you! I love my hair down - but I notice that my camera changes the color and darkens my face with the hair down and let's face it, up is so much easier!
You look great in all makeup! That color pop tinted moisturizer is so sheer that I let my 12 year old wear it for everyday bc you literally can’t see it
Beautiful eye look, those colors are gorgeous. (You have very pretty eyes to start with, so lucky you!) I am a bad girl, I collect foundations like flypaper collects flies ("Ooo, that's new! Better pick that one up!") So I have the L'Oreal serum foundation as well. I did find it heavier than I expected it to be. I thought it would be more sheer somehow. However, I do like the coverage, although if I could only choose between the L'Oreal and the IT cosmetics CC cream, I'd pick IT. Just personal preference. I'm also not a fan of foundations that feel really thick, but don't appear to cover anything. Even at 64, my skin is nearly flawless, but i have dark undereye circles that make me look like a panda, and my skin is very fair (just my luck...!) So I like foundations that have decent coverage in order to tone down the purple. Haha. I still end up needing concealer but they're easier to cover if the foundation does some work too. Thanks for a great video. 🙂🙂🙂
I tried the L’Oréal serum foundation and I really hated it.The smell made me nauseous, smelled like paint .I also hated the look and feel of it.Couldn’t wait to wash it off.I didn’t even leave the house with it on
I have the Sephora best skin ever and it’s my current favorite. I’m also 20N which is a good match for my skin. I like that it doesn’t make my skin too shiny, because like you I tend to have naturally shiny skin, which gets shinier in the hot Los Angeles weather. The other nice thing about the Sephora is it’s pretty easy to get on sale and they’re usually well stocked in my color. I am on the hunt for a lighter weight “summer” foundation but I think the L’Oréal might be too shiny. Thank you for the honest review. I’m going to keep searching. I really enjoyed this! Thank you
The kitchen can be a dangerous place. I use a cone drip for coffee and have accidentally knocked over the used cone, getting wet grounds all over the place!
Ooohhh. Foundation reviews are my favorites. I am so excited that you are providing a list of products you use for skincare. Your skin always looks dewy. I am in my 60s now, and cannot believe my once oily skin is so dry. Thank you.
I so appreciated your doing this video on affordable foundations. I actually love combining the L'Oreal Age Perfect Serum Foundation with the Catrice Hydrating Foundation. The Catrice Foundation provides more coverage and also cuts down on the glow a bit since it's more of a natural finish. I also much prefer the Colourpop Pretty Fresh Hydrating Foundation over the tinted moisturizer since it has the coverage which my decades old skin absolutely needs! I think the Sephora Foundation looked gorgeous on you. I was frankly pretty blown away by it. when I tried it. Finding just the right foundation is a little like searching for a pink colored grain of sand on a white sand beach.
Yes - the perfect foundation is tough. I have many that this close, but for instance, don't build well enough on my cheeks and concealer is just a bit to heavy looking to put there.
22.5N is my color in the Sephora best skin ever. It’s my go to foundation, offers coverage but it’s not heavy. It’s not matte and not dewy, it’s the best of both worlds 😉 I wear it all summer in 100plus temps.
I've heard good things about the Sephora foundation, so I might try it. It's tough to find coverage for my very dry skin that doesn't cling to my rough patches. You are beautiful and help me accept my hooded eyes. I love you in cooler shadow colors.
I'm so pleased to hear that you accept your hooded eyes! Some of the most beautiful women in the world are hooded. In fact, MOST women are hooded to some degree! Cheers!
you should try from Shein the Sheglam Skinfinite Hydrating foundation US$8,93. I ordered seashell and a few samples from different colours, just in case. Its amazing for the price. I bought just to try it and I love it. I am 51 with dry skin.
Great video. New to your channel. Love your intro music. Sounds familiar to me, can’t name it. What part of the country are you located in? You mentioned your skincare, can you tell me your skin care regimen?
Glad you found me. The music is a free clip available on imovie. I'm in Los Angeles. I have a playlist with my skincare videos - I hope you take a look, the most recent were in December!
I must say that the Sephora foundation looked the best on your skin of any of the foundations I’ve ever seen you try . The shade was great and the finish made your skin look so smooth, vibrant and youthful. The total look was great and your hair looked fantastic.
I am so glad the L'Oreal has only a very light coverage. Some vloggers raved about it and I was upset you cannot buy it here in England. My skin has got lots of sun damage, it would not work for me. I think you can get away with most foundations because your skin is blemish free.

@@TheHoodedLid yes the tube that’s triangular. It’s called Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish.
Also between you and Tamara I’ve got turned on to hundreds and hundreds of dollars’ worth of make up and skincare. I’m loving it.
I think it looks good, I really like your eyeshadow.

Yes, I think our depth of tone is very similar. Thanks so much for bringing these with you to Los Angeles, it was fun to experiment with them! 😍
Best skin ever looks gorgeous on you!
It's amazing what a different impression you leave when your hair is raised and lowered ... you look so beautiful at the end of the video....
I prefer the look with Sephora foundation
Thank you! I love my hair down - but I notice that my camera changes the color and darkens my face with the hair down and let's face it, up is so much easier!

Good to know that I'm not crazy!!
You look absolutely gorgeous. Thank you for sharing xoxo roseingeorgia
Thank you so much!
thanks for another great video
Thanks for watching!
Please could you do a foundation ranking, thanks in advance.
Yes, I will be doing one next week! I just got the Kosas, so need to start on that one right away, then the ranking of the new foundations!

Really really enjoyed this tutorial thank you
You’re welcome 😊
Slay Queen 👑 Lovely Video ❤️🧡💛
Thanks my friend !
Thank u....I didn't like the Sephora on me at all nor the loreal...the only drugstore I like is milani
I tried the L’Oréal serum foundation and I really hated it.The smell made me nauseous, smelled like paint .I also hated the look and feel of it.Couldn’t wait to wash it off.I didn’t even leave the house with it on
Oh no! I don't remember a scent - but it's been a while since I tried it.
I am thinking drugstore is not for you judging by disapproving look on your face.

I really enjoyed this! Thank you
But the time summer roles around, there may be something new that's perfect for you!
Always always thumbs up for all your videos!! x
Thank you!!
Talking about knocking things over, there are some days when I am really clumsy and had a few (minor) disasters in the kitchen.
The kitchen can be a dangerous place. I use a cone drip for coffee and have accidentally knocked over the used cone, getting wet grounds all over the place!
so far all foundation looks terrible on me- Dior, Nars awful so may as well try DS.
It couldn't hurt - and ULTA and CVS will take returns if they don't work out

Unrelated to this video, I tried the ABH concealer you liked and all I can say is WOW. I’ve tried so many concealers prior. Thank you!
Yay! I'm so glad!!
Lots of Fiji water too. I’m sure

ah - good to know that it works well in the heat!
