    A 20-game streak against different opponents with strength 2300-3000 is way harder than a 50 game streak against one or two 2900 opponents.

      Probably because he saw the free pawn + great position and went for it. Usually in rapid you wanna have the mindset of "find a good move? now find a better one". Can't usually do that in 1+0 bullet.

      ​@@zoltano_cortez Only the top 15-20 players in the entire world make a decent living off of chess. It's pretty rough outside the top 20. I personally know Baadur Jobava (a famous chess player). The dude has a part-time job to get his sh*t together. Career-wise, dedicating your whole life to chess is absolutely the riskiest and stupidest thing you can do to yourself.

    Hello, I have PhD. Hikaru must be cheating. He looks up very frequently as if he's focussing on reading some signal. It's obvious that he knows chess so once he knows the optimal move he verbally justifies why it is indeed the best move thus giving the illusion that he actually came up with the move himself.
