Every Michael Myers RANKED!

- Michael Myers is one of my favorite killers in all of horror. Throughout the franchise we get big menacing Michael's, human-like Michael's that creep around the shadows and some that are straight up supernatural. Here is how I rank all of the Michael's in the entire Halloween franchise.
Let me know how you rank the Mike's in the comments.

I would say you need brush up on your media literacy just a tad.
Here's some help: In Ends, nothing was supernatural between Michael and Corey.
He didn't transfer anything to Corey in the sewer,
all we saw was Corey's POV (his life flashed before his eyes while he was dying)
Its crazy to be this critical about something you don't understand
@@millyoneyedeaz1350 You forgot to say "in my opinion" - because nothing you just said is an objective truth.
I absolutely loved the fireman scene from Kills. One of the most epic shots in the franchise when he walked out of the burning house pissed off and ready for war.
That was a bad ass scene
Its funny how you described Michael from Halloween 2 "He's pissed because of everything that's happened to him" Imagine getting mad at people defending themselves from you trying to kill them LOL
yeah, but you have to understand, while we humans have empathy. We still are selfish creatures. just think if you attacked a person and they slammed your face. U would still be pretty pissed, because your face hurts.
yea, I will never understand why some folks think he's pissed or out for "revenge"
when it comes to this version of Michael.
I like to think that Corey only kicked Michael’s ass because he let Corey win to think he was in control but in reality Corey is just a wannabe
The worst part of Halloween ends is it’s a good movie if it hadn’t of been Halloween ends, like imagine an original movie where they have like an old folklore serial killer and some kid meets him and passes on the killing but the old killer comes back etc etc but not with Halloween cause we’ve seen the character of Myers and know that doesn’t happen 😢
@@CoreyOConnor2012 the idea of another killer besides Michael shouldn’t even have been in discussion. I have no idea how laurie aggreed to do this movie either (ofc a check). Shit movie that baited us all & was a cash grab from the trailer. I can’t tell u how many of us were pissed 30 minutes into the movie when I first saw it
@@Papellxhaseyall need to get over this shit Ends is not a bad movie
@ u right, it sucks
@@CoreyOConnor2012 why are you using "like"?
Great video!! I completely agree, part 2 Michael under the red light scared the hell out of me when I was a kid, stuck with me over the years lol
James Jude Courtney was my favorite (excluding Ends where we all got robbed), even more than the original. I just can’t go back to a 5’ 9” or 10” Michael Myers anymore. James is perfect. Not too big not too small at 6’3”but still intimidating. I don’t know how you could get a better Michael than JJC
@@Jsizzle6809 I completely agree
Disagree with Halloween 2 over part 1, but thank you for giving 2 so much love. I know these things are subjective, but I'm all ways baffled by Halloween fans that don't like part 2.
It's picks up immediately from the events of the first movie. It uses the same score, albeit a synth version. It uses the original mask. A young Jamie Lee Curtis is in it! And the dark, deserted hospital setting is so creepy.
Really enjoyed the video. Happy Halloween!
@@tx130666 the Halloween 2 is definitely the best movie and Michael in the franchise without a doubt
Totally agree with the top 3 and it’s so difficult to decide the rest as so many pros and cons but I think I’d be pretty much around the same for most of them! I think right at the end you kind hit the nail on the head - how Michael is shot makes such a difference which is also why I agree with the same top 3 as I think they really capture that relentlessness, that quiet menace the best - but hey they’re all such good fun. Hope you and the rest of the channel supporters have a great and safe 🎃 Halloween !
Really enjoyed the ranking, agreed with most of it and finally somebody that has the H20 masks in their top 5, that's awesome 👍
I agree with you on this ranking. Great job putting this together. 👍
Thanks!
Happy Halloween man!!🎃🎃🎃
Same to you, I hope you have a great Halloween
27:55 he’s definitely referring to the color or just the eyes themselves. At that point Loomis hadn’t seen Michael with a mask on yet
Watching Halloween kills now before work. I love when kick the car door when the Doctor woman was shooting at him! While he was sitting in the car, not moving just staring at her! greatest moment of Halloween kills.
😂😂 great moment
@@MadBloodMatt it was funny great moment in the entire movie. Will the husband getting stabbed in the eye was pretty good too. The interracial older couple was okay kill! but, I think they went over the top after he stabbed the guy multiple times with multiple knives was a little bit Overkill
Solid ranking!
Thanks Pat!
Amazing video, Happy Halloween to everyone!
Absolutely great video brother!
Thanks dude!
love these ranking videos man. thank you! 🎃
You bet.
Happy Halloween 🎃
Great ranking ❤
I'm going to explain what happens in the sewer with Corey. It's nothing supernatural. It's not Michael seeing into his soul or possessing him as some think. It's a reference to Kills where the one officer said how Michael would stare at his own reflection in the window. Michael saw the same thing in Corey's eyes as he saw in his own eyes, so he let him go. As far as the images on screen when Michael grabs Corey, it was simply Corey having his life flash before his eyes due to the fear for his life Michael caused. We are essentially getting a first-person point of view from Corey's perspective when he gets grabbed, that is all. Because of surviving this encounter and killing the homeless guy in self-defense afterward, he becomes bolder. When he becomes upset with the cop for hitting on his girlfriend, he leads him to where he knows Michael is, and the events in the sewer where he teams up with Michael to kill the cop, set Corey on a dark path from that point forward. The cops death wasn't an accident like the kid he babysat or a result of self-defense like the homeless man. The cop's death was the beginning of the end for Corey, as it gave him a taste for outright murder. All of Corey's actions in the movie were his own, Michael did not control him. He became the way he did due to circumstance and ultimately because of how the townspeople had mistreated him since the accident. How he was treated due to the accident definitely got to his head. And a detail I noticed from the beginning was that the accident was caused by him falling for a Michael Meyers prank the kid was playing. The townspeople probably treated him the way they did because of what all they had experienced from Michael. Had Michael Meyers never existed, Corey probably would have had a normal life. Ends ties into the theme Kills had, where it shows just what effect Michael has on the townspeople's psyche. Ends becomes more interesting when this is kept in mind. While Michael isn't present for most of the movie, the effect he has had on everyone is very much present, and all the events are still indirectly caused by Michael. Ends is far from my favorite, my favorite is probably the original 1978 movie, but its surely not my least favorite. I hated the Rob Zombie movies, and I hardly acknowledge their existence. My least favorite is probably Resurrection if I ignore the Rob Zombie films.
Looking forward to watching more of your videos 💯👊🏼
Keep it up bro first video I’ve seen from your channel and im a fan!
I agree with most, great video man.
Thanks for the content 🎃
This is a really solid channel.
Great video bro!
Good Stuff!
Thanks Jimmy, appreciate it man. Also, enjoying the new channel!
Happy Halloween 🎃 thanks for the awesome video. 😊
Happy Halloween! 🎃
Also, the bandaged face was great! We should definitely have had a full movie or at least half a movie of him having that instead of the dreadful mask
@Doctorwhovideos2 interestingly enough the h4 mask was a kirk converted mask but they laid the white paint on way to thick and the lighting of the movie effected the look as well, the original had no shading done, all that definition we see is caused by the lighting
that makes no sense for the character to do though
@@millyoneyedeaz1350 yes, but it looked cool though, wouldn’t it?
@@millyoneyedeaz1350 why wouldn't it make sense?
My man 😌
agree brother....original part 2 is my favorite also.....and glad to see it and the mask getting the respect it deserves!!....most videos just disrespect part 2 and the mask cause they afraid if they give it credit it disrespects the original in some way lol....awesome!!
I meant to say having the whole portrayal not masks, of Michael Myers from H20 in your top 5 is great because the masks in H20 really do bring down, the whole portrayal of Chris Durand's Myers down for a lot of people.
Halloween 2 (1981) was the first horror movie I ever saw. And I couldn't sleep for weeks. It's the most scared I've ever been after watching a movie, period.
Busta is just hilarious. Love Resurrection 😁😊💜🐾👻🎃
Bro, I couldn’t agree more about Tyler Mane and his version of Michael Myers so menacing so larger than life literally my favorite Michael Myers! I remember seeing it for the first time in 2007 and all I could think was what the hell could anyone do if this man had them cornered in a room and wanted to kill them literally nothing lol
I have seen Halloween H20 many, many times and I must say that I never noticed he was wearing a CGI mask in that scene and only discovered that bit of information from this channel.
Finally someone who doesn't feel compelled to rate the original movie as the better iteration of Michael. Although I prefer h1 to h2 Michael, I prefer part 4 Michael as my scariest.
But I'm just happy to see someone finally brave enough to go against the grain and put something else higher thsn the original.
I think you’re the first person to acknowledge what Michael was trying to do with Laurie in the Rob Zombie movies
Hi mate! First video I've ever watched of yours, I'm a new subscriber, and as a big Halloween fan, I love your ranking tbf, I'll agree with Halloween 5 position, lol. A point that I tend to make in Halloween movie discussions, is that I reckon Michael didn't just walk away from Busta Rhymes, he went to the garage to kill Tyra Banks, because he almost, "took the tip", off Busta when he told him he left the door open. So I like to think Mikey went, "OK! No problem bro, I'll go and kill that person, nice tip", lol.
Haha I respect the theory. Thanks for watching!
Happy Halloween 🎃
Same to you! 🎃
i always hated halloween 4. but as i grew and got older, im only 25 btw, i realized the movie was fantastic. it was the mask and the stiff way michael moved at times that i hated and still do
Halloween 4 is one of my favorites
Michael is actually pretty alright in Curse and Resurrection. Doesn't look goofy and he gets down to business.
Agreed, except in curse he has a couple moments he looks a little puffy but other than that. Solid.
In Halloween 5, Myers isn’t being nursed back to health for a year by the hermit. I think Jamie is just having a vision/nightmare of what happened that night and she is having it a year later.
My biggest issue with H4 and H5 is they put the original mask on the VHS boxes but we get such crappy masks in the actual movies
Yep. False advertising at its finest.
Part 6 too
Nice list. Ur right about his physicality in 4 being pretty awesome but if this was a ranking of just the masks alone I’d have 4 last by a mile.
I used to hate it & the one from 5 equally but ur right there’s something just weird & alien about the 5 mask that’s grown on me over the years. The 4 mask is just BAD
EDIT: I love the Halloween 2 respect too bro. I’ve always thought that’s a perfect slasher movie. Even some fans of this franchise seem to underrate it
H2 Myers creeps me out the most.
happy Halloween man! 🎃🔪
my own Michael ranking would be (not counting the masks):
12. H5
11. Resurrection
10. RZ H2
9. RZ H1
8. H20
7. Ends
6. H4
5. H6
4. H2
3. 2018
2. 1978
1. Kills
Happy Halloween to you as well 🎃
Solid list!!
H20 last
😂
I just wanted to say, not mentioning the albino mast that was used by accident in film and hopefully will be fixed on day in a Blu-ray release the mask from part 4 was a mask off the shelf in a Halloween section of a hardware store. It felt so correct for the film to me. The original was destroyed in part 2 which was cannon in this film.
The first act of Halloween 2007 was such wasted potential for a michael and loomis prologue
Awesome list. The only one I would really push down the list is H20 Michael. I really can't stand his masks, and I don't like his physicality in the movie. They show his face/eyes far too much. Definitely behind Halloween Kills, and even Halloween Ends at least to me.
Pretty decent list!👏 Just wondering how Nick Castle lankiness got a pass but not JJC? Lol
Man great list although I would change some around but everyone is different so great list tho and yes I wanted to see the bandages in h4 that would've been sweet or even got to see his face and what it looks like from h2

Before I watch here's my opinion:
Brad Loree's Michael Myers is personally in my top 3 and I absolutely love the mask in Resurrection and his portrayal.
The worst Michael is definitely Chris Durand in H20. The masks they used are absolute dog shit, the walk is fucking awkward, and he doesn't seem like Michael Myers at all. The second worse is George P. Wilbur in part 4. The mask is atrocious and the obvious shoulder pads and Michael having no neck ruins the whole movie for me.
My all time favorite Michael is of course the OG of all Michaels, Nick Castle. He perfected the character. James Jude Courtney in '18 is a very close second.
Hell yeah I always thought part 5 mask looked like nick cage fucking awesome you think so as well!
I’d have to put Halloween kills top 3,Probably with Halloween 2018 in second,Halloween 2 at 3,I would have Halloween ends a lot higher
Bucky looking like 1993 Jeff Gordon 😂
Could you do a 31 on 31 for horror or something?
See Ik I messed with u Matt everyone who don’t like busta confuses me 🤣because how u ok with teenagers getting the upper hand but not busta. And I love the two Michael scene me and my cousin use to quote it all the time
I'll never understand why people treat Michael like he's the Terminator.
He's just a thin mental patient in a mask. Which is the most hilarious part about him 😂😂.
Plus.. Did you say s-c-ythe? 😂
Him being so sneaky and devious is scarier to me. Jason is the horror terminator, Michael is pure evil with the mind of a devious child.
Halloween kills in my opinion just because he was ruthless and did not care and had a lot of kills
DGG doesnt even know whats going on w Michael in Ends
You should do a tour of your masks.
Although I agree we don't like seeing it but there has to be a supernatural element to michael myers, bloke gets shot in the eyes and burnt to a crisp and still stays in this realm.
P.s Halloween ends sucks ass
no way you put H6 so low, he'd destroy all the Michaels. Especially the Lerner version
But the look of Michael isn't all that. The mask isn't that great and he looks out of shape. No pun intended
Who else noticed the Michael glitches on the screen?
I will never understand why people think that Halloween 2 started the thing where Michael’s motive is to kill his family
The film says that Laurie is his sister it never specified that he wants to kill his family and that’s his motive , he wouldn’t even be able to know Laurie is his sister as he was locked up for years and couldn’t possibly know
Well, he does have a history of killing sisters 🤔
@ I get that I just don’t get how he know Laurie is his sister in the first place
Should have put Corey at the top
🔥🔥🎃
Rob zombies Michael was by far the most bay shyt crazy one the others ones don’t scare you but if you see Robs Michael coming at you then yeah you better run
@@EduardoDuran-s8i facts the loudest and most violent one imo
Yeah but Halloween 2 ruined him with his horrendous hobo look. Also him grunting while killing takes away the terror, and also him speaking killed the enjoyment. Remake 1 was good, the escape scene in the theatrical version really showed his terror being able to break his cuffs, and kill 4 guards

Halloween ends I will watch. But it is by far what killed what could have been a great trilogy. It did not make sense. Lorrie is now happy and content yet micheals on the loose, yet in 2018 she is the most damaged woman. I’m all for her going out happy, but going out happy and starting the film happy 4 years after a night that was more traumatic then a coat hanger in a closet.
I agree and on top of that her own daughter was killed by Michael. But now she’s chillin, recovering and baking pies while Michael is on the loose? It makes zero sense lol.
@ oh totally. If ends was first and made up the start then sure I could understand but again the whole supernatural thing again just killed who Michael was. A normal man who kills on his prey. Hollywood right what can you do
I am gonna go with H2O is the first Halloween movie you ever saw. It’s not even scary and the fact that there is 4 masks is horrendous! Not a bad list probably would switch curse and h20.
i thought halloween 2018, and kills were scary asf, the kill scenes in those movies were just like woah, this fool michael is really on some shit
Halloween 4 is a top 4 Film in the franchise but yeah the mask is horrendous
I dislike with u with the shots in Halloween kills but still good opinion
Once again this is a movie ranking not a Michael Myers’s ranking. The commentary u had for rob zombie Halloween 2’s Michael sounds like u should have put him at 1
The Thorne trilogy is weird af
23:07 ☠️
H6 Michael is average?!! What
You think Michael from H6 is one of the best in the franchise?
Halloween h20 is the worst Michael myers
H20 Myers better than H6!? Blasphemy! Lol
Two horrible takes here:
The first on the blackest eyes comments. Clearly metaphorical. Loomis wasn’t talking about literal black colored eyes 😂 he’s talking about a sense of evil. A lack of humanity in his gaze. Pretty obvious.
The other is the “lanky” comment in the latest Michael Meyers. Rob Zombies approach to go as big as possible and turn Michael into the biggest looking physical monster ever is just like so “obvious” and uninspired that it’s quintessentially Rob Zombie. Dude has zero nuance as a director lol.
The original Michael wasn’t a massive beast. He was a normal human being. And that makes him all the more frightening.
Also I hope to god you know that the famous sitting up scene in the original was an animatronic lol.
Halloween ends last, that’s a crime! I know it’s bad but better than the 5th one
Right! Or worse than Resurrection? No way!
Halloween 5 is the worser

Still enjoyed the video because I love horror discussion, but this didn't feel like a ranking of Michael Myers. It felt like a favorite Halloween films list. Felt really safe. I just watched all the films again except for the RZ part 2. ( I'll never watch it, I'm sure it fine) And I have to say Michael is a boring character. It's fine. He is an elemental force and often a supernatural elemental force but there are moments where he stands out and I would have loved a ranking based on a criteria that each character was held up against. In the end, it's really always going to be opinion, but this could have been more.
You are right about Ends coming in last. In a popularity vote for films it would have hit dead last no doubt, but Michael was a horrible element in all but one scene. I still loved the film because I'm a straight up horror fan and it was an awesome horror movie but I understand franchise fans having blinders on with this film. I watch the four films that encompassed this timeline yesterday and I found it the second most enjoyable. I found Kills to be the least still, but with one of the most horrific Michaels in franchise.
Halloween Ends is growing on me. Cory is possessed by Myers. Which is why Cory now has the strength to wrestle the mask from Myers. Also I would argue Cory's kills are better than Myers.
The mask in 5 is soo so bad
I don't think Michael was doing anything supernatural when he was looking into Corey's eyes. I think Michael saw the same thing he sees when he looks at his own reflection in the windows, nothing in the eyes. It's hinted at constantly in almost all the movies that when someone would look into Michael's eyes they saw nothing but evil. The dad of the kid Corey "killed" said almost the exact thing when he was talking to Laurie, that when he looked into the eyes of Corey that day he said the kid he was before was gone. It also kinda makes sense if you think about when Michael kills someone and can see their face, he stands and watches and does the head tilt as he sees the life leave their eyes. At the end of Halloween Kills, Laurie tilts the knife so Michael can see his reflection one last time.
Halloween 2 1981 is my favorite in the franchise the hate it gets is ridiculous
The hate for Halloween resurrection is wayyyy overblown. People say “I respect the boldness they took in Halloween ends” for the bs they did with Cory basically being the shape the whole time but will hate on this. It Doesn’t make sense to me. For the time frame of when this came out during reality tv era it’s not as bad as People make it out to be.
Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers (1989) Halloween Resurrection (2002) and Rob Zombie's Halloween (2007) are three examples of how to make a character who is supposed to be nothing but Pure Evil 😈 and make someone to feel some sympathy for and that really does go against Dr. Samuel Loomis's words in the original film
I mean "HELLO" the blackest eyes
THE DEVILS EYES! 👿🔪🩸 WTF?!
Halloween ll Michael is The best version of him . If somebody asked why is he called The Shape I would just show them that film
