Deshler Ohio

Deshler is a village in Henry County, Ohio.
Deshler was platted in 1873, and named for John G. Deshler, the original owner of the town site. A post office has been in operation at Deshler since 1872. The village was incorporated in 1876. A large economic presence since the early 1900s for the town was the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad. Deshler, once called "The Crossroads of the B&O," was where the B&O's Detroit/Toledo to Cincinnati line crossed the very busy Chicago to Washington, D.C., mainline. Today, CSX Transportation owns and operates both lines.

What I have found watching so many vlogs from all parts of the country, is the lack of humans walking the streets, town after town and the main streets are deserted, stores closed, or abandoned, derelict houses, yet some cars on the streets, but never the people that drive them. Like a model town with model cars, no humans. Where are these people, is it that everyone now lives via a phone or computer sitting at home and the art of socialising is dead?
