We have this expression in Norway: "Det finnes ikke dårlig vær, bare dårlig klær." Meaning there is no bad weather, only bad clothing or "kleather" if you want to rhyme.
OHHHH.... thank you! I had a thought about that watching it and then got taken in by something else and let it go... I JUST heard someone say that, or something close to that, not long ago here in a sporting good store recently. So, fun that you should mention it! Thank you!
After What Does The Fox Say had burned itself into my brain when it first hit youtube, I went down the Ylvis rabbithole, to the extent that I was watching their talk-show and anything else they put on here, even when it was in Norwegian with no subtitles. They are simply charming, brilliant and talented in all ways. I hope you do lots more reactions to them, because they made lots of videos before they got too busy doing other things. I noticed that they posted a few new ones around 6 months ago, with their youngest brother.
Sounds great!!! I have done a few other reactions to their other songs, I hope you had a chance to check them out. "Old friends"... wasn't quite sure what to do with that one... SO FUNNY! ... They are quite impressive! We will have to put the new ones on the list! :)
I love Ylvis’s humour, and I really miss their talk show (where they made all those amazing songs to) This song is so funny, and it’s not far from the truth lol But there’s many Norwegians that have cabins that are as big as a house, and with both electricity and water, basically just like an ordinary house but set in the mountains or by the sea. Me and my husband has two cabins on the mountains, only ours lol They are small and with no electricity or water, but that’s how we like it👍😍 In the summertime we can drive all the way, but in the winter we have to either go skiing or drive a snowmobile😁
OH FUN! I SO appreciate your comfort with living with no electricity and water... a lost art! :) Something I could do to get more comfortable with. So good for us to unplug from all of it! Enjoy your time and places... they sound lovely! How do you choose which one?? :) Their talk show sounds amazing! What a fun outlet for them for their creativity and talents.
When I was a kid, a person at our Quaker meeting had a cabin at Eagle Hawk Neck in Tassie. It was available for many people to use, with the condition that whoever used it did something to improve the property. I remember my parents building an A-frame outhouse ... I truly loved my time there. I would disappear into the bush or down at the water for hours. I was a huge Swallows and Amazon's fan, and I would play out related stories, swimming out to one tiny island in the water, pretending I had to live on kelp.
OH MY GOODNESS! I love this! You have created such a beautiful and desirable image in my head! I want go. I love the... "improve the property" concept. Your comments are always so fun! Thank you! SO... is the movie as good as the book?? I think I have to add that to my reading list. :)
@@JudyAdele - We'd stop at oyster farms on the way down and glean the oysters which had fallen off the frames. I LOVE oysters. I think I ate 6 or 7 dozen at a sitting once. Mum would do them with bacon and worcestershire sauce. I haven't seen the movie yet, but it's probably better. I returned to the books as an adult and ... they were ... disappointing. I'm glad I can amuse you!
The best thing about this one is that everyone who has a cabin in the family or have visited one with friends can relate to it
:) TRUE! :)
Your LAUGH was worth the request!!
Glad it gave ya the giggles!😂
Oh my gosh... this was SOOO GOOD!!! Thank you SOOO much!!!! LOL!
