Definitely a good idea to practice this as well as testing your glide slope from a 1000' and see how much ground you can cover both downwind and into the wind. Thanks for sharing

On my 7th flight and at a new LZ I had a carb issue and motor out... it was scary as F! but I nailed it! It's definitely good practice. I've been watching Fly with Greg PG videos, he recommends a figure of 8 instead of S turns so you don't overshoot... I'm looking forward to practicing this technique. I'm going to be rusty after a winter with minimal flying opportunities.
fun fact: i dont need to kill my motor. the brand new moster 185 is killing itself half of the time i fly for random different reasons. this freaking POS! "you must do something wrong because my moster is fine!" i hear you say? yes i agree but it seems i got a monday model banana or something. this thing have always something! 🤣
There are 3 things you need for a motor to run: 1) Compression, 2) Spark, & 3) Proper fuel/air mixture. If you don't have one of the three......the motor will not run. Use the process of elimination to figure it out. The Vittorazi Moster 185 is very reliable. I've been flying a Moster 185 for seven years and only had the motor quit twice. Once was because I lost compression - burned a hole in the piston. The second time, I ran out of fuel. Both were pilot error.
@@michaelmartin5942 thanks mate, but as i said it seems i got a monday model. the pull start broke 3 times. "then you are doing it wrong" i hear you say? yes i thought that too at first. i talked to vittorazzi who confirmed that i am doing it right when they saw a video of me starting it several times. but they didnt want hear anything about replacement parts for me. so i let a certified vitto dealer repair it first time. second time same thing happened. the small plastic thingy inside the pull start broke and i was stuck again. third time i was flying normal and suddenly the whole pullstart mechanism ripped itself from the frame at full throttle. all 4 bolts clean off and stuck in the frame. then the whole rope and handle got sucked in back and broke my prop. had to kill it for landing. i even have a video up about that. sorry for cursing in case you watch it. then the handle flew back in the prop. i have strong magnets there to hold the handle. impossible the handle got in prop first and THEN ripped the pullstart out the frame. i was so fed up with this crap. i talk to many other moster 185 pilots and they all confirm i am just one of many people with this problem. that motor have 8 hours on the clock and i am nothing but frustrated with it. runs good and carburator isnt my issue. i bought it because everybody said how good it is. but after they watch me send it in for repair so many times they all admit that cant be just my fault. i mean its a pull start. you pull it and the motor is on. nothing really difficult to that. i send it in again and installed electric starter. that works great! but now the whole engine is vibrating very strong even i use original parts. something off balance. i will sell this thing asap and fly electric soon. already build my own prototype and it works fantastic. fly save and thanks for answer
@@cloudpandarism2627 I have to admit, those Moster 185 pull starts aren't the best. I've had issues with mine too. In 270 hours, I've rebuilt it multiple times, and had to replace it completely once. The new one has less than 100 hours on it, and it's already showing more wear than the original one. A redesign, or better quality is needed on them.
@@michaelmartin5942 thanks for saying that mate. you could have just brush it off. i dont say moster is most terrible. but i lost trust in it and thats a dealbreaker for me as pilot. now everytime i launch this is in my mind. and makes me triplecheck every preflight. wasting time. it should not be like that. if is my mistake fine. i fix it. but vittorazzi shut me off several times when i asked them for advice. they dont wanna hear anything about these problems. bit sad. keep the blue sky up

Oh no... Take you motor up to 1,000' and lean your engine our to the point where it burns a hole in your piston, then find an out to land in... 😳 Yeah, it sucks...

I was doing the same tonight at sunset👍. Practicing big ears and spot landings.
What lines do you pull for big ears?

Good lookin wing! Thanks for the vid. Much less stressful when your lz isnt the size of a postage stamp.
This is TRUE!

Question. What did you do that initiated that dive @7:25 ?
Pull 8 inches of brake for 2 seconds than throw your hands up and dive at the ground.
@@TrevorSteele1 Thanks looks sick. Think I did it a few times not on purpose. Now I know why. I learned a lot from your detailed videos!

No sir. Learned 11 years ago from my uncle and have done paramotor training full time since 2018. Started teaching in 2014.
